    If I was Hendry/Lou I would be on the phone tomorrow telling all these guys to say no. It's only a matter of time until some big name player gets hurt and is out for a long period of time in this traveshamockery of an event, and I don't want it to be a Cub. Hopefully when the revised rosters come out no Cubs are on them, especially Z, Lilly, Harden and Soto. Iron man Harden is the only one tough enough to take on the WBC and the regular season. If not obvious there should be a crap of green over my font right now :banghead:

    Even without assuming a Peavy trade, this makes the Cubs better. They got probably as much value out of Pie as they possibly could have. agree, and Baltimore is the only team I could see in the AL that would do this deal.

    I hate the Red Sox just as much as the Yankees. Oh crap, I just realized that the backlash to all these signings will be 800,000 more annoying Red Sox bandwagoners declaring them "giant-killers" and rooting for them over the Yankees crap. The thing is that the Red Sox put up, what 170 million for Texeira too. The Red Sox have their own evil empire too. And being a Rays fan is even more trendy-annoying. But there's a fourth team that can challenge for a playoff spot in that division. The Blue Jays. Oh crap, I just realized you are right!! first everyone want to go green then they'll want to root for an expansion club, and I hate expansion clubs

    If there's more runs batted in by the singles... then yes, they are better. that all depends if the bases are clogged with those darn guys that keep walking, it called the "Dusty factor."
