    It sort of amazes me sometimes that Len doesn't get looked at to do Fox games. He's not perfect or anything, but he's so far better than most of the idiots they have doing national games right now it's ridiculous. You wouldn't happen to be referring to Chip Carey? I would agree

    This is moronic. Wood has shown all year that when he's used reguarly he's one of the most effective closers in the game. His last two appearances, which took place over the course of a full week, were shaky, yet he still got the job done in one of them. Last night he gave up hits to one of the best hitters in the game and a guy having a career year offensively. He still locked it down besides them and the team won. The blown save against the Reds he arguably "got out of" by inducing a juicy DP groundball that was bobbled, and that on a day where he hadn't pitched in almost a week. Wood has been fantastic. I understand but this is an emotional knee jerk reaction, I have never been a fond supporter of Wood. If he wins great, I support his effort, but I think the Cubs have a closer of the future in Marmol.

    Amarillo has a baseball field I will personally put the Cubs up if the teams fly here.

    Love to see Marmol take the 8th and 9th inning. Wood isn't giving up homers with no one on he is putting people on before. I am hoping he can show better poise in the upcoming game and series.

    This is an easy one to debate about especially after this game. Wood has stunk up the mound the last two weeks. His ERA has to have doubled in the last cpl of days. Open your eyes guys!
