    From most all reports, Corey is a genuinely nice guy. But feel free to be bitter and trash him for a joke. No, I wish him the best and only hope he has a skill beyond baseball. The trashing comes from many who put him on a pedestal before he could ever prove himself. I am sure early on the label of wunderkind, and savior of an organization weighed heavy on him, a lot of pressure for a kid.

    I have noticed that every time we get to this point in the baseball season our posts (collectively) start sounding more and more surly, is this because our beloved Cubs bit the big one this time of year or is it because we are tired of writing about how the Cubs bit the big one last night so only contemptuous crap flows from our fingertips? So I'll say it now with all sincerity, if I have offended anybody in the past month, in any of my post, then I am blaming it on the Cubs because it couldn't be my fault and you should get over it. I say this sincerely and with an open heart

    =D> :good: my hate of saint louis is rivaled by my hate of cincinnati. barely. Full agreement on this matter, I do not want to see anything to do with Dusty Baker win anything. It is easy, we sweep the Cinci. to move three games up and puts St. Louis in the lead after a series win against SF we sweep the first place St. Louis to move another three games up, by then we are only 7 games back and that is before we play Cinci again. No problem here, we should be thinking about World Series tickets.

    it was the rockies last year that just destroyed our hopes of any type of come-back, after the break lst year we were starting to come around then we hit this series. I hate the Rockies. I am now thankful my wife had to work and we could make it to the game

    598 I think BCB emphasized the wrong word. He meant no one will know how many home runs HE really hit. I'm pretty sure a cyborg was responsible for at least 150 or so. I think Bud Selig should subtract 150 and really piss of Yankee fans
