Niether did Joe Girardi when he took over his first team. Not a Sandberg supporter but that argument might be out Wasn't Girardi bench coach for Torre for a season before becomming a manager? I wouldn't call that extensive major league experience, his promotion was a bit of a shock, but supposedly the catcher makes the best managers

I hate Ryne Sandberg. The minor leagues are supposed to be about the young kids. Helping the kids become major leaguers. He's only out for himself, just like he always was. All he ever cared about was winning - winning - winning. A real LOSER off-the-field too. No wonder he's headed for a second DIVORCE. LOUSY family man. Get rid of Soriono right now, yes right now. I don't care if he hits 50 homeruns the rest of the season. Put a kid from the little league WS in his place so we can have someone that can play defense out in left field.
