  1. Big surprise. What a joke.
  2. Gotta ease the dude into the lineup. Don't want to put too much pressure on him.

  4. Dunn for just CC. Hendry better be on the phone because we can definitely put together a better package. Too many rumors going around. My head hurts.
  5. According to who? I saw one guy on this board say that, but there was never a source. The only time I heard Sabathia mentioned in a trade with the Reds was for Dunn and that was speculated on last week and earlier this week. There's no way the Reds would turn down Sabathia for Randa straight up. They were talking about the Randa for Sabathia rumor over on Redszone a couple days ago.
  6. That can't be true. The Reds recently turned down a trade for Sabathia for Joe Randa. Dunn>>>>>>>Randa I'm just telling you what they said on the radio in Cincy. You're welcome to check out the broadcast. No. I'm not saying you're giving false info. I think the report is false. Sorry for the confusion.
  7. There's a Dusty's bad Managerial Moves thread about 4 threads down on this page. I don't think we need another thread.

  9. Bat him 2nd so we have someone on base 40% of the time in front of D Lee. Move Walker down to the 6th hole batting behind Aram.
  10. Not to mention Lefties that have OWNED him. Rusch seemed like the obvious choice in that situation to me. It doesn't matter how many arms are available to Dusty, he has his "boyz", stats be damned. Seven relievers gives him seven more possibities to mis-manage the pen. I would have gone with Mitre last night. On such a warm night he might have got that sinker going and would have kept the Cubs in the game. Exactly. It doesn't matter how many pitchers are down in that bullpen because Dusty is only going to use the same 4 pitchers over and over except on days when he's got guys written into the "Needs to Pitch" category.
  11. 39 premium pages and counting... :willynilly: :willynilly: :willynilly:
  12. What are his BB and K totals?
  13. With the lefty on the mound I guess Murton and maybe Cedeno will be in the lineup. I fully expect both of them, if they play, to play about 6 innings before being pulled for the more experienced dudes on the team. Cubs Suck!
  14. thx for nothing cobs The date didn't go well?
  15. New article up on Cubs.com No MRI is scheduled yet, but they are going to give him a full exam. http://tinyurl.com/96vxe
  16. The dude doesn't have all the tools to succeed in this game...
  17. From Rotoworld:
  18. Good to see Williamson did well in his first appearance for Iowa. Let's hope he keeps it up. I'd love to see him in our bullpen soon.
  19. I would not give up Mitre and Williams with Wood potentially going back to the DL. to get Dunn I would think about it. We have Rush to start in the fo9r Wood (or Hill). If Wood's injury is long term then I may reconsider. But i think to get Dunn it may be worth it. How about giving Welly the chance as the 5th starter? He's been pretty good lately. I still think I would do this trade.
  20. Welcome to the Forum!!! It's a tough call. I wouldn't mind seeing Nolasco get the callup if Wood is going to be out for a while. Or the Cubs can choose to put Rusch back into the rotation. I would probably still do this trade. I'm not that sold on Hill. I think they'd either call up Hill or have Mitre start. It'd be tough to call up Hill or Mitre if they were on the Reds. I'd only want to see Nolasco get a chance if Hill, Mitre, and Cpatt were traded. Is Nolasco on the 40 man? No, he's not. I just looked it up. Nevermind. I wouldn't want to see Nolasco then.

  22. Watch the language. Easy for me to say, though, because I had to leave after the end of the first inning. Yeah, get off your pedestal. If you had to watch that game you'd be cursing too. :D
