    I'm glad we still have 12 pitchers on the team. It's extremely important to have as many pitchers on the team as possible. :wall:

    I could see this article making it's way into the Cubs locker-room bulletin board as a motivational tool. They need motivation coming from somewhere.

    I'd see either Grady Little or Speier getting a chance. I'd probably give Speier the nod.

    Think about it. Over the 2004 and 2005 seasons, the Cubs had invested close to $18M in Remlinger, Hawkins and Borowski. That amount would have paid for Jeff Kent. I know - it's not an apples to apples comparison. I'm sort of getting the idea that you wanted Hendry to sign Jeff Kent. :wink:

    Great move. It's good to see. Remmy definitely was a huge bust in Chicago. I'm not sad to see him go.

    They said it was just a sprained ankle at first, but I think they found that he had a pretty bad bone bruise. He's been on the DL for 2 months now. From last report he's supposed to be coming back soon.

    Nothing like contradicting your own scoop. Haha. It's not the first time he's contradicted himself.

    Bruce Levine was on ESPN 1000 a minute ago and he said he thought Cpatt isn't ready to be called back up yet. He said don't look for him to be recalled today. The Cubs want to give him another week or 2 down in the minors before they call him up. That's fine by me as long as it's not Calvin Freaking Murray called up instead.

    D'backs are winning 5-1 in the bottom of the 2nd inning. The Astros are playing like the Cubs. Doesn't really matter that much though. Cubs suck. :x

    I agree. Let Corey keep working on getting his swing shortened down in AAA and bring up Greenberg. Give him a shot. He's not going to do any worse than Hairston was doing. I'd just rather have Corey keep working on fixing his problems than bringing him up already.
