    You look at the Cardinals lineup and you think "Okay, Pujols and Edmonds, but what else?" Maybe Grudz, but after that there's just no one there who scares you, yet they keep winning and winning.

    Actually, that's pretty funny. You know we'd be laughing at the Cards if they were in the same position.

    Maybe Dusty saw what the Cards' lineup was against the Brewers yesterday and thought, "hey dude, if the Cards can with with a crappy lineup, why can't we? Dude?"

    Eckstien vs. Zambrano would be highly amusing, very short, and would likely result in a prolonged hospital (or morgue) stay. As for the series, (I never thought I'd say this) I just want the Cards to completely destroy the Cubs. Finish us off so we can get Dusty and his entourage out of here and get to the business of competing for a division title in 2006. It's sad and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I hope the Cards absolutely kill us this weekend. I'm talking 20-0 every game. Maybe then the Cubs will shut down Wood for the year, play the young kids to see what they've got, and maybe, just maybe fire Baker.

    Gotta love that the manager and general manager aren't on the same page. Didn't Dusty just say yesterday that it might be an option having Wood start again?

    Unfortunately, that's what the SCORE is reporting. Nothing like going into a series with St. Louis on 8-game losing streak and having Macias and Neifi your big 1-2 punch at the top of the order.

    I'm sure glad I'll miss most of the rest of this train wreck of a season, engineered by none other than one, Dusty Baker. It's become hysterical at this point. It has. I'm slowly easing into the "funny" part. Teams really ought to be fined by the GM's if they would lose a series to the Cubs at this point. I'm honestly thinking a good college team could beat the Cubs 2 of 3 at this point. im also going into the funny part...its almost a joke as to wonder what the "great" front office is going to do next. Does anyone else think Hendry has gotten ahold of his own "Dusty Dice" that he uses to make his decisions?

    Maybe the DJaxx should play their home playoff games at Wrigley. Only if the media cred will work! Maybe they could get you into the booth to sing the 7th inning stretch.
