    Looks like we are getting Izturis and Derosa next year up the middle. Better be getting a LOT of offense from the outfield if that's the case.

    :wall: :wall: I don't get this, unless Hendry is thinking of Izturis as a bench player. If we have a middle infield of Izturis and DeRosa...well I don't even want to think about that.

    Chan Ho Park's contract is ridiculous. This is about $1M too much for a utility guy. Not the end of the world. For 3 years though. That's what I have the biggest problem with.

    Hendry at his best: overypaying for crappy players. Other GM's must laugh when they see these crappy players getting ridiculous contracts from Hendry.

    Seems like the Lions are going to take all the allocated time before they make a decision. How long does it take to decide if you're going to accept millions of dollars? It's not like they're going to deny the bid. They're desperate for money.

    Won't Z be a free agent after the 2007 season? Might as well trade him now and get the best prospects you can. If we can't re-sign Aramis, how are we going to re-sign Z?

    It's pretty obvious why Cub fans are drunk all the time. We're just trying to dull the pain of being Cub fans.

    This just drives me insane. We're top 5 in payroll most of the time and we never see us adding big-time free agents and we never keep the big-time free agents that we have. I'm so sick and tired of this crap.

    I think Teahen might be a good option. I know it says the Royals are planning on trying him out in the outfield, but they might be swayed if we give them young pitching.

    I'd look into getting Teahen from the Royals before I'd go after DeRosa or Nomar. The Royals have Alex Gordon waiting in the wings, so they could trade Teahen.

    Aram also said he had no intention of opting out of his contract, but we all know how that went.

    Its still very possible. Maybe even probable. Its impossible for us to know whats probable at this point without knowing the minds of Hendry and Ramirez. But according to all that has been said publicly, Hendry wants to keep him and Ramirez wants to stay, so... I don't think it's going to be possible once other teams like the Angels, Red Sox, and Dodgers start throwing offers at him. If it doesn't get done tonight I'm afraid it doesn't get done at all.
