    Izturis gives the Mariners a run on a throwing error and then he hits into a double play to end the bottom-half of the inning. Bench him! :twisted:

    Thank! I've been looking for the damn thing for the past 20 min! I swear MLB.COM is setup terribly. No doubt. Whoever does their website design is on crack. Well, I hope they're on crack b/c I refuse to believe a human being can be paid to be that dumb. nevermind, i just read the most recent Mariotti article. Even trying to get into MLBTV is a pain. Arhhh! Anyway thanks again. I think they do it on purpose. They want you to buy their media products, but they don't actually want you to use it.

    He better be willing to take a big discount because otherwise the Cubs aren't going to be able to afford him.

    DLee tweaked his groin a little on a bad slide into 2nd base in Monday's game. They took him out for precautionary reasons. Blanco got hit on the knee while catching in the same game I believe.

    God, let's hope not. He sure doesn't deserve one.

    I'd rather the Cubs find a platoon partner for Jones. Someone who can hit for a little power from the right-side of the plate, come off the bench, or play right field when needed. We've got LH power off the bench, but I think we need that RH power off the bench as well (and no Angel Pagan doesn't count). I think either DeRosa or Theriot could play SS in a pinch, or the Cubs could bring back Cedeno from AAA if Izturis is down for a longer amount of time.

    Teams definitely conduct try-outs. I went to an Orioles try-out my senior year of high school. I highly doubt they have a walk-on sort of thing.

    I wonder what Len thinks about Plesac. Wonder if he's ready to strangle him yet. We should ask him if Len does a Q and A this year. :D

    I think the biggest thing right now is he needs to work on his slider and changeup. He's got a great fastball and seems to locate it very well. You have to love all the movement he has on the fastball too.

    Ray Durham is supposed to be hitting behind Bonds all year. Len and Plesac were talking about it earlier.

    What? He's 1-2 with a 2RBI... Stats lie. Floyd was lucky on his first hit and looked horrible on every swing. It's his first live-game action. I think you need to cut him some slack.
