    Wow. How was that not a foul on that last shot by Illinois? Terrible.

    Good to hear he actually hit 90 on the radar gun. He's been gaining MPH every outing. I don't have a problem with him starting in the minors or in extended spring training as long as he keeps showing improvement.

    Hawk, DJ & Sox marketing man Brooks Boyer Really? They aren't pissing me off as much as I remember them being. Maybe they're waiting for the regular season. Hawk has been pretty quiet for about 2 innings. That's quality broadcasting right there. He said maybe 4 words last inning. Not that I'm complaining.

    Read back a couple of pages...or go here. Yikes. Talk about a complete overreaction. He gave up 2 hits and 0 runs in 4 innings (granted it was minor league hitters). But he's completely done for. And what's the calves thing? Just stupid.

    Great inning for the Gooz. He looks really good. Wasn't really his fault that 2 runs were given up. I don't see how he can't be the 5th starter.

    i agree, i'm a little suprised at how hard he is throwning, is the gun a mile or 2 off or does gooz always throw 94-97? He's always had that type of heat. That's why people have always been so excited about him. He definitely has the stuff. It just depends on if he can stay healthy.

    Anyone else having audio problems with WGN TV? It sounds like all the audio is coming from AM radio or something. Sounds like everything is really far away.

    Who would be the last middle infielder then? It certainly sounds like the Cubs are looking for a young middle infielder just as much or more than a veteran. It sounds like they might look for youth, but it's still annoying that after jettisoning all the worthless MI trash they've had, they might just end up with the same type of crap all over again. Then who do you suggest? They need a middle infielder and the goal is for it to be someone better than Cedeno or Perez. If your wishes were to not acquire another MI then we'd be rostering the "same crap" in Cedeno or Perez. I think Goony's point is that he'd like to see someone brought in who's not only better than Cedeno or Perez, but also better than Izturis.
