  1. It was pretty obvious that Marshall was wearing down. I wish we would have had a better replacement, but those 10 days were probably very good for him. Agreed. Today is big for him. With Trachsel sucking, if Marshall can pitch well I think their roles will be flipped. Their roles shouldn't have been switched in the first place. Unless Marshall is dealing with some arm issues, there was no reason to trade for Trachsel. It makes it that much worse that Trachsel took Marshall's spot in the rotation.
  2. Gotta have those veterans down the stretch, dude.
  3. It doesn't help that Jacque is slumping with the bat again. Might as well see if Pie can get hot with the bat. That way we're at least guaranteed to get good defense.
  4. We need an Aramabomb badly here.
  5. Soriano tells you to shove it as he hits a 420+ foot bomb. :D
  6. Trachsel is done. He's missing his spots by miles.
  7. At least the Bears are on in a little while...
  8. Awesome. Nice work Trachsel. Glad we traded for this bum.
  9. Trachsel blows. Luckily Wilson slips rounding 3rd. Runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs. Need to get out of this inning.
  10. Looks like Sheets has settled in. 7-1 going to the top of the 4th.
  11. Is something wrong with Sean Marshall? How come he wouldn't be an option for this Thursday if Lou decides to start Z on Friday against the Cards?
  12. The Brewers don't score in the 3rd. Brewers still up 7-1 going to the bottom of the 3rd.
  13. Runners move up 90 feet on the wild pitch. Come on Alf. We could use a hit here.
  14. Haha. The human rain delay with a basehit. Come on Soriano.
  15. Nice work Kendall! 2-0 Cubbies.
  16. Babe Braun with another homer. This game looks to be a blowout. Brewers up 7-1 and it's still the top of the 2nd.
  17. Aram gave that a ride. Long out.
  18. Reds get 1 back in the bottom of the 1st. 4-1 Brewers after 1.
  19. Cubs go down in order to start the 1st.
  20. Brewers start the game with back-to-back-to-back homers. Weeks, Hardy, and Braun all go yard. 3-0 already in the 1st. They've got runners on 1st and 2nd now, and there still aren't any outs. 5 straight hits to start the game. Good work Reds. Cards game starts at 3:40 CT against the D'backs.
  21. The CSN pre-game said the game will start on time, that if it does rain that it will be very light, and that the grounds crew doesn't expect any rain delays.
  22. Hooray 0-3! :x
  23. College Football day. Don't expect a lot tomorrow because of the amount of Week 1 games. I would rather watch the Bears game because it's so anticipated. Baseball? 162 games. I still love baseball more. The only way I'd choose another sports over Cubs baseball is if we stink. Tomorrow you can do both! Yep. Cubs on at 12:30 and Bears on at 4. What a glorious day. Hopefully they both can win.
