  1. Haha. Even BB knows the offense sucks. He's hoping for a wild pitch right here.
  2. Meh. He's just over-managing because this offense sucks, and he's trying everything he can to get a run in. It's not his fault there aren't good players on this team. Now the rest of his managing... But there are good players on this team. That's the frustrating part. Just way too many holes in the offense. Theriot has been absolutely ice cold for a while now. You never know what you're going to get from Soriano. DLee and Aram have been pretty good. DeRosa has been good. Jacque had a good couple weeks. Floyd is a joke. Kendall has been up and down. It's just not a very good offense.
  3. Murton basically has to do something good here or he's never going to see the field again.

  5. These teams are terrible. This game is never going to end.
  6. I would have preferred you go up there with a bat and try to get hit with a pitch. At least you'd be doing something. Fontenot is worthless.
  7. What's the difference? We're not going to score either way.
  8. Here comes the slider low and way outside that Fonzie doesn't even come close to hitting.
  9. Remember when Fontenot was hot for a while? Good times.
  10. it's pretty much a guaranteed loss at this point. i'm still wondering what's the difference between lou and dusty. lou used to talk about "going with the hot hand", but all we're seeing is crappy veterans down the stretch.
  11. Murton will hit a pinch-hit homer. Book it. He will then spend the next week and a half back on the bench.
  12. This team is awesome at grounding into double plays.
  13. Meh. I'm still trying to figure out why we signed him to a 3-year contract.
  14. Oh, the hop definitely needs to go. I'm surprised the Cubs haven't stopped him from doing it. I don't even understand why he does it. It's just stupid. According to Pat Hughes (I think that's who i heard say it), Soriano says that, being a natural infielder, he has always been taught to keep his feet moving while he catches the ball. That habit he learned in the infield has turned into that ridiculous hop, he says. I still think it's dumb. Someone should let him know he's not an infielder now, and that he should learn how to play the outfield properly.

  16. The hop needs to go, the Riot needs a couple days off, Cliff needs to find a home on the bench (so does Kendall), and Murton & Soto need to play more. And Tracshel needs to stop pitching for the Cubs I actually had forgotten about him somehow. Thanks for reminding me he's pitching tomorrow on 3-days rest.

  18. Bullington works out of a little trouble in the top of the 2nd. Brewers and Pirates still tied at 0 going to the bottom.
  19. Brewers don't score in the top of the 1st.
  20. Put me on the list as well. How can a person only walk 15 times in a season? 15 walks in 492 at-bats. That's mind-boggling.
  21. If Trachsel is on a short leash for this game, hopefully Marshall is ready in the bullpen to fill in any missing innings and receives a chance to earn his job back. Marshall is supposed to pitch in one of the games on Saturday, so I don't know how much he'd be used on Thursday. Kevin Hart will probably be available to pitch, unless Marquis flops tomorrow night.
  22. You bumped a thread that was from April when Albert was doing badly, and people were making jokes about how his career was over. Good work.
