I didn't realize that the Astros now have a winning record (7-6) against the Cubs this year. Luckily, the last two times we've seen Backe, Cubs won 9-0 and 11-4. I'm watching the game with a stros fan tonight, so if the Cubs could please do me one small favor and score 400 runs, I'd appreciate it. -

The attendance at Tampa is the only reason I'm pulling for a Cubs-Rays series. Seems like chances of getting tix down there are better than anywhere else.

If the Cubs go to the WS, I'm skipping classes and work for a week no matter the consequences. If the Cubs go to the WS, I am skipping classes, taking off work and flying 1200 miles just to stand outside Wrigley so I can feel closer to it. Yep. If the WS is on the north side this year, I'll be standing out on Waveland for the games. Definitely. I'll basically camp down there for the series. You and about a million other people That's the idea. I'm not much for parties, but that one is going to be epic.

Wrigley is such an incredible place. I'm still getting goosebumps every time I watch that HR. Excuse me while I watch it a few more times.

I think the "most games over .500" thing goes back waaay before 1984 now....the other night I read we had hit the "most games over since 1945" mark with the 1930's not far away. I'm sorry, I'm a moron. I meant we are the most games ahead of 1st place since 1984 Normally I'd say this is impossible, but then I remembered Geovany Soto.
