  1. Walter Johnson was ESPN's top pick, and Puckett was left off the list but put on top by the fans. I don't remember the other two names, but they seemed like fairly obvious choices. probably killebrew (he should be 2) and carew (he should be 3) I believe you are correct.
  2. I haven't even been following the game threads very closely tonight, and this is the second "five outs away" announcement I've seen. FTH???
  3. HE LIVES?!? "I guess I needed another year or two."
  4. Wow. Glad filthy Marmol is in full swing again.
  5. As long as Howry isn't warming up, then not a bad move by Lou.
  6. I don't know, but there will likely be heroin and foreheads involved.
  7. Ron/Corey said it was at 58 earlier in the inning.
  8. I'm with AF - Cubs win this one by at least three runs.
  9. Corect me if Im wrong, but isnt it Mr. Baker? I'm listening on gameday audio, so I haven't caught the question. Did it, by chance, ask who was on deck when a certain record was broken?
  10. Apparently I haven't figured out this time zone thing yet. Still just over an hour til game time :x I was wondering why there were no lineups yet.
  11. Also, Angels @ Rays, Santana v Shields Definitely an interesting series IMO.

  13. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3541810 As long as they've got CC on the hill, they don't need anyone else. Not Braun, and especially not the bullpen.
  14. I wanna say he was at 125 or 126 going into the last batter, who made an out on a 2-2 pitch. I don't remember if there was a 2 strike foul ball or not, but I'm almost positive he touched 130. Regardless, thank you, Dusty Yost.
  15. neighborhood of 132, give or take a pitch.
  16. Yost leaves him in after the walk! Each pitch feels like an extra piece of compensation. Awesome.
  17. Sabathia in a little trouble now. Juiced with one out. Yost looking more intelligent by the minute for not having anyone even warming up.
  18. Are you sure they didn't just take him out to be safe since it was a blowout? Something is telling me that Yost doesn't generally care about blowouts, but I guess it's possible. JJ Hardy fitting in nicely once again.
  19. first pitch of the ninth to the warning track, 1 out. Not a good start :x
  20. He's still been pretty strong, and CC is a rental player. I have a feeling that if this comes back to bite anyone, it's gonna be whoever signs him to that mammoth contract he's going to sign this offseason. Rental player or not, he wore out last year in the playoffs for the Indians. It seemed pretty clear. :-$

  22. Sabathia on deck. He's 2 for 3 with a couple RBIs, so he could just be hitting for himself before relief comes in for the ninth, but the bullpen is dead. CG for CC!!
  23. I really really hate him. I can't say his name without including the middle name. I don't think I ever have.
