  1. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they're playing the Cardinals and not the Cubs.
  2. I hate this team. I hate the fact that, despite the colossal collapse at the end, the time spent with my head in the clouds in 2003 is enough to keep me around through what has happened since. Every day and year and new amazing way to lose is just another kick in the head. I have experienced so greater sense of worthlessness or futility that rivals being a Cubs fan.
  3. The bye week is officially over. Five days until kickoff.
  4. Well I was looking forward to the game, but this way would be a little less likely to cause me a heart attack. Did that letter come with an enclosed picture of the Bears wearing crowns on their asses?
  5. I'm in the camp of, This train wreck can't get much worse, so let's at least give him some time to show how much of next year's failure will be because of him and how much will be because of the players Hendry (doesn't) put in the clubhouse.
  6. ....only if Wale can play and somebody steps up to take Mike Brown's place. Otherwise, we will be giving up more points in future games if we must play minus 2 pro bowlers every week. I'm optimistic that Todd Johnson will do well. He's definitely no Mike Brown, and the defense will suffer at least a little in his absence, but he'll have had plenty of time to practice knowing he's the full-time replacement, and this isn't exactly a bad team against which to get his feet wet. Hopefully Rex's head-removal surgery went well and he will give the defense a little room for error this week.
  7. After that fiasco in Atlanta 2 years ago, it's good to see you're learning !! btw...... I'm in Augusta, and you're not. Go figure ! I still hold that weekend against him, not only for the Cubs losing, but that he should have perceived the bad omen for his marriage. (I know it's harsh, but one of the first pics he sent me of their daughter was when he let his wife dress her up in a little Yankees getup. If only he knew then what he knows now...) Enjoy that paper mill smell!
  8. That must mean the Raiders' defense is way better than the Bears.
  9. Gameday just said Portis went down injured. Any input?
  10. A friend of mine is getting married on Sunday the 29th. The first thing I did was make sure it didn't coincide with the Bears game. Then I told him sure, I'll be there :D
  11. THE CARDINALS ARE WHAT WE THOUGHT THEY WERE!! CROWN THEIR ASS!!
  12. prediction: AZ scores a couple of defensive TDs and returns a punt for the comeback victory.
  13.
  14. Morten Anderson whiffs. Still tied.
  15. Didn't matter. KC wins.
  16. False start KC - 47-yarder is now 52. Really stupid penalty.
  17. Yea, I'm seeing that :x
  18. Rivers got sacked, 3rd and long less than a min to go - should be extra football in KC.
  19. Holy crap, it really was from out there. That's unreal.
  20. Looks like they need to kick from 61 yds out or go for the end zone. edit: I need to quit assuming the gameday updates are accurate. Bucs win!
  21. TB calls TO near midfield with 15 seconds left. Can their kicker hit from 50?
  22. I think SD is much better than getting beat by the Chiefs, I'm glad they tied it back up.
  23. A 52-yd play later, I look foolish  TD Philly, 21-20
  24. Looks like Philly's moving too slowly. They're going to run out of clock before finding the end zone.
  25. Carolina and Philly both looking to drive 80 yds late. Panthers might pull theirs off, but I don't think Philly will make it.
