    Walks kill So does RISP with less then two outs. Exactly - I've only listened to about half the game, and I know of two runs the Cubs should have scored and couldn't. Pitiful. They really don't deserve this game, regardless of the final score turns out to be.

    I liked At least we have the comfort of knowing that Edward K. from Indianapolis hasn't had any direct influence on Hendry's decision-making as of yet.

    I'd be okay with it if the Cubs decided they never needed to lose again.

    I've been thinking the same thing, but I've also thought the same thing the last few games as those threads were started relatively late too. His record as a starter is probably as good as NSBB has had the last couple years though, so I wasn't about to question what's happening. Is the new thread supposed to start midnight following the previous game, or midnight prior to the upcoming game?

    Baby steps. Gotta test the newfound mojo waters before plunging into the deep end. And yes, I think the Brewers will lose about 6 games between now and Juse first. That's all the Cubs will need.

    That's the scary part. I find it hard to believe they can win serveral games in a row, to even make a run at it. I'm still having a hard time believing that two weeks ago, I was on the same boat, and now I'm pissed because they have another off day. I used to look forward to off days as reprieves from losing. And you may be doing the same again. Nice little run, but let's see if they can sustain it against actual baseball teams. Just as I wasn't writing the season off before, I'm not going to act like anything's been won now. Lots of baseball to be played yet. True. Once the Pirates series is over, the entire rest of May is looking to be a pretty tough schedule, full of decent to good teams, with only one more off day between now and June. I'm just glad I actually enjoy Cubs baseball again, even if it proves to be short-lived.
