    I'm on with this one. I don't remember some of the bad teams from the mid 90s very well, and of the teams I do remember (pretty much since 97), this one was easily the most hopeless and pathetic. I'm sure there were plenty of craptacular teams in the 70s worth mentioning in this group as well.

    This is the first time in two weeks I've been interested in this team. Fights don't last with guys. This will be a non-issue in a week or two, and we can all go back to wondering how long it will take for Hendry to disappear and be replaced by someone equally clueless.

    There should be an option for other. I think they'll award the division to the Red Sox and give them an elimination round in the playoffs. Just a hunch.

    I noticed that a game or two ago, and I just figured it had always been there and I just never noticed it. Pretty freaking cool.

    That's what I'm talking about. I expected to come back and see he had been doing well, but I definitely didn't expect this. (I expected Wells to be a little more successful too.)

    Yea, I'd be pleased with a split against a team like the Mets, especially on the road. Too bad they're calling up a pitcher from AAA. That means a complete game of 1-run baseball on 72 pitches. CUBS - 1 METS - 6

    Cubs already did that this year. (Okay, well it was a 4-run 2-out rally when down by three, but close enough.) We won't see it again until 2009. You heard it here first.

I don't have a TV, so I have to go to a friend's place, and I had already made up my mind before this was ever pitiful that I'd be leaving here in an hour regardless of what's happening in the game.

    This bet definitely got very interesting. The inherent suckage factor is a much bigger variable all of a sudden. I think it won't even be close, but it's hard to say who will start crapping the bed first.

    BAREBARE!! Three hard hit balls already this inning. Met's should have called up a soft-tossing lefty for the game, because people who tear up the rest of the league area apparently fair game against this offense.
