    I'm pretty sure a similar sentiment floated around for a day or two in support of the maligned Bruce Kimm when he filled in for Baylor. Lou has made some stupid bullpen decisions, but I don't have a lot to complain about with him. He uses the whole team, and the deficiencies that result only highlight how poorly constructed it is.

If she's watching the game, this should really be an understandable offense. No way Cubs should be leading right now. Key words... Yea yea - Let's just live in the moment of dillusion we've been given, and deal with the inevitable during the bottom of the inning.

    My vote for Hundley just broke the tie between him and Pierre. There is plenty of craptacular play to choose from on the list, but he was a pure and true a-hole, so he got my vote. Plus, Baker and Hendry weren't on the list. (Though Baker wore a uniform and a number on his back, so I think we should try to squeeze him in on a technicality.)

    My only start came after I missed my scheduled start on a day the Cubs won, and I jumped in after the spot start and took my turn anyway. /0-1 record as starter

    I'm reasonably confident--only reasonably--that the Cubs will finish this year with more than 70 wins. Their chances of hitting 80 are slim at best, and I'll go on record (and WAY out on a limb, I know) and say it won't happen.
