  1. THEY'RE GOING TO KICK HIS ASS!!! WE'RE UNSTOPPABLE!!! Cubs are only unstoppable until their next loss. Then the season's over again, just like it was yesterday.
  2. Lou calling this the biggest must-win situation they've been in so far this season, giving props to murton. Also, Santo sounds like he could really use the day off.
  3. Cubs won two games this series, despite being outscored by a run and trailing early in all three games.
  4. Right cause it's a force out at 1st. That's what I figured but I wasn't sure. Ok, nm my last post then.
  5. I believe that's incorrect - if it were a GIDP he was trying to score on, then right it wouldn't count, but with the flyout, I believe the run crossing the plate before the doubling off would count.
  6. I'm not sure it makes a difference. Dunn was sliding, Theriot would have scored anyway, there would have been a runner at first anyway. Exactly. The call benefited no one; other than Murton's batting average. It didn't even do that much. Murton "grounded" into a 7-4 FC.
  7. Riot was already stopped before anyone realized Griff was hurt, and it was too late to send him when they realized what happened. I really don't think they held him out of respect for Griffey's injury.
  8. He held out most of the season. Sucks so bad for him. I really wish baseball would have gotten to see this guy play a full and healthy career.
  9. Three runs wins this game. Who's gonna get there?
  10. DeRosa 14 of his last 15 against Cincy.
  11. My crush on Adam Dunn is officially suspended until further notice.
  12. Meh. You had to expect they were going to sweep the Astros with who they're putting out on the field these days. The real test is this weekend against the Braves. watch atlanta call up a bunch of guys from rookie ball The rest of the teams we play may do this too with their lineup. It is not like they have anything left to play for. Cincinatti is taking their role as spoiler much more seriously than the Astros are taking it, and I'm sure the Pirates will do the same. That scares me more than Atlanta, who seems poised to srop out of the race any time now.
  13. It's so easy to forget how this team has ever been able to put runs on the board. This is beyond redonkulous.
  14. Have the Cubs gotten Hopper out at all this series?
  15. Stupid Sori jumping on the first pitch :x
  16. Same bullcrap, different night. I hate both these effing teams.
  17. True, but I'll take this scenario over no Riot and no Soto.
  18. I'll set over/under at 2.5 and take over. Is there an AIM chat tonight?
  19. I was all pumped for yesterday's game, but today's game could just be rained out for another six weeks for all I care. Is it time for lineups? Already? Gah, here we go again. Go cobs :(
  20. This is true, they are. They are also a bad team who took one more from the Cubs than they will from the Brewers. They also were able to make it a game when they lost to the Cubs, but the Brewers are making it look beyond easy.
  21. The heartbreak will be sealed and final before the 11th game starts. Cubs lose to the no-name pitcher who plays for the team buried in the standings. Apathy is setting in. Unless the Cubs win, in which case this is the year again.
  22. If that happens, I'll buy them both a hat. And anyone else who has posted in this thread.
