    not sure about Cabrera, but nobody in baseball believes Pujols is 26.

    what makes you think anybody is "getting off easy". There are a about 30 active threads tearing apart every facet of the club and daily columns in the paper doing the same. Do we need to step up the pace with our wholesale bitching?

    Bench is OK. And, as somebody said earlier, what is Hendry supposed to say? "The bench sucks"? Everyone here needs to stop tearing apart every post game quote or interview. It is silly.

    Zach McAllister from Chillicothe IVC may go as high as round 2. A terrific pitcher who hits 92-94 mph consistently.

    I watched Wood tonight in person. He threw very effortlessly anf had good command. There were not even many foul balls. He did hit one batter though, as usual.

    good original post that started this thread. One of the bad things about the net is it brings out the whiners and complainers. So many people here are baseball experts who should be GM's. It does get hard to take now and then.

    the double A manager also said a pitcher (don't remember his name) who was converted from catcher is really doing well and has stood out.

    epatt---his double A manager was on the Score recently and said epatt is a #2 hitter in his opinion. He said he is definitely on the fast track.

    It wasn't a swipe, just the truth. And I am glad Hendry is what he is. Every writer brings up stats in every article criticizing the Cubs. A writer can't say the Hendry isn't married to these stat guys without being criticized here? The stat guys may be the most insecure people in baseball.
