  1. Dusty is the greatest manager ever!! He always seems to make the move that elevates the team above the competition. I'm glad that we have a manager that relates to his players and get them to play as a team.
  2. It sure didn't look good. Z seems different than most blister pitchers, pop that Blood Blister, cut a joke and hit the mound! He will be fine.... So you are saying he won't pull a Valdez?
  3. From rotoworld.com
  4. According to the announcer from ESPN, Nomar is experiencing "flu-like symptoms". It is food poisoning or some sort of virus. He will sit out the game today and almost didn't play yesterday. He was feeling so bad that he almost didn't come to the ballpark but will be there.
  5. There is a chance that Aramis tweaked his groin again. During interviews this morning, he said that he was 100%. However, Dusty said that he did tweak it and that he would be sitting out today as a precaution due to the weather. I'm not sure how serious the problem is but I figured it was worth posting.
  6. Shooting 35 percent from the field doesn't really help either. THREE Bulls tonight has double doubles (Chandler, Nocinoi, Harrington).
  7. OVERTIME AT THE UC! Bulls tie it up in the last minute. Kirk Hinrich thinks he is Ben Gordon with 9 points in the fourth. Tyson is having a solid game as well.
  8. 41-41 at the half between the Pistons and Bulls. Detroit ran out to a 5 point lead with about 2 minutes left in the half but the Bulls came back with a couple of baskets to tie it.
  9. According to the press conference with the trainer, Walker has a moderate sprain of his MCL but the other ligament in his knee and the meniscus were not damaged at all. The swelling should go down in a week to ten days and he should be back in four to six weeks, maybe a bit longer.
  10. Hairston can hit second, leave Corey in the leadoff position. Let's just leave him in one spot with the whole year for once. Enough of this yo-yoing him up and down in the order.
  11. how is that a plus? Are you kidding me?? I don't think he is... I dunno. I don't really care about the White Sox... but I take pride in the fact that we're not bitter about the rivalry like they are. They're Chicago's red-headed step-child. They hate us. I don't really see myself or most Cubs fans hating the Sox or even caring about them though. For me, the rivalry is like, "Meh." If they win, good for them. Just as long as we win when we play them. I don't really care about them that much but still like to seem them lose and have bad things happen to their team when possible.

  13. Knee ligament strain according to WSCR. That was just on the first report. Since then, they are only saying that it is "a knee injury with no other information available at this time". :( I'm more than a little worried about the injury. J Hood said that he might be out for a while. Granted, this was right after the first report but it still is a little unsettling. On the plus side, Frank Thomas is going to be out much longer than expected, at least till mid-June, and will have to have at least 100 minor league at bats before they bring him up.
  14. Cool. Knocking Reggie Miller out of the playoffs one last time would be an excellent cap to a wonderful season. Yup. :D Does Artest have a chance to be re-instated for the playoffs? I highly highly doubt it. Stern is pissed at him. I would love to see him kicked out of the NBA for good. That would be sweet.
  15. I'm going to miss some of another Cubs game aren't I. SON OF A....ARGGG....
  16. Joe Torre! He's the greatest coach in the history of organized sport!
  17. The Bulls have stayed fairly healthy for most of the year. Chandler has been healthy for the whole year!!!!!

  21. I just saw an interview with Prior on comcast sports net. He threw a simulated game today in Mesa. He went 4 innings and threw 51 pitches. He said that his offspeed pitches were off a bit at the beginning but came around towards the end. He said that he did not know what was going on in terms of where and when he is going to pitch next. He said that he would like to start on Saturday but is not sure if that is going to happen.
  22. nice sig Jon. WTF!!!!!!! OMG!!! LeBron is just too good.
  23. I <3 Nocioni. He has really gotten under LeBron's skin.
  24. They said that he would probably be out 2-3 games. Navin said that he was out of the hospital but I thought that they said a bit ago that he wasn't.
