    who is ron potesta? forgive my ignorance. He's the announcer for the West Tennesse Diamond Jaxx (our AA affiliate). He posts here some and was in a chat with several members of the board last night.

    Ron Potesta will answer questions posted on this board during the game today, assuming it isn't rained out. You can still answer questions in the thread in this forum. I will be recording the audio and will post it in the question thread hopefully by monday.

    I agree. It may not seem like it at times but there are still a bunch of people on this board that believe that Corey can be a good baseball player. Here's to hoping that this thread doesn't get hijacked like I think it will.

    We had 3 spots open on the 40 man last week. I don't think we made any changes between now and then.

    I say we sign the best 2-3 starting with BJ Ryan. This pen is absolutely ridiculous. The only 3 pitchers I want to see back are Dempster, Wuertz, and Ohman.

    I know he threw the meatball on a 0-2 count, but shouldn't Barrett or mgmt get some of the blame for calling for that pitch? That's not where Barrett set up to catch it. Where did he set-up? outside corner? Inside and about at head level. The pitch was right over the middle of the plate. He missed by a ton.

    Novoa's ERA coming into tonight was around 2.50. Glendon Rusch is getting rocked as well. I hate to say it, but I'd trade him..he's the odd man out in the rotation and he's not nearly as good of a bullpen pitcher as he is as a starter. and Dusty making a double switch in the 8th inning, down by 4. Very smart tough guy. Novoa isn't any good, though. I have been saying this since he got called up. Him missing by that much isn't a one time thing. It happens all of the time. He should really be sent down to work on his command.

    Note: that is why it does not matter how many positions Macias can play. He is horrible at all of them.
