Datsyuk, Zetterburg and Lidstrom are making quite a bit more than the Hawks are going to pay for Kane, Toews and Keith. They are also much better and more accomplished. Compare Zetterburg and Lidstrom to Hossa and Campbell and tell me who is cheaper.

It might be possible that the Hawks are going to barrow a page from the Wing's book and get Kane, Toews, and Keith to sign for a little bit of a discount to keep the team together long term. Hopefully that is the case.

Are you sure? I was under the impression all three would be RFA after this season. You are correct, all three are RFA after this season. I stand corrected. Sorry for the misinformation.

Don't link to Hockeybuzz as it is very crappy when it comes to rumors. In fact this site rips hockeybuzz a new one and has, IMO discredit hockeybuzz as a legt rumor site. Yeah, they just teased again saying there was a big deal in the works but didn't give any further details. Chances are they are referring to those articles cause they don't have a "hockey insider" like they do for the Cubs, Sox, Bulls, and Bears.

I am not talking about how they will rank next year. I am talking about looking at how the system was ranked and how they are now in terms of the prospects in the system and majors.

Does it not seem strange to anyone else that she is only going for 400k in the lawsuit? You would think that she would sue for a whole lot more than that, especially considering the casino was supposedly part of a cover up and is involved in the suit. There are all kind of invasion of privacy in addition to the rape. -

Going into the season BA had them listed 27th and almost every publication had them in the bottom third of the league. Given the successes of Wells, Hart, Fox, and to a lesser extent Jose Ascanio in the majors, how does the system rank now? Is it still has bad as it was in the beginning of the year since the players that have come up don't have a top of the rotation potential or is it looking better?
