  1. Wait...he makes 6 million dollars next year? Wow...
  2. I won in my money league this week by 0.3 points. Thank you Heath Miller. :)
  3. Hopefully Bradley is ok. He has been really improving every single week so far this season. It would be a shame for him to get injured just when he was putting it all together.
  4. So...who is this high OPS right fielder that will be on the market? Giles is going to get resigned by the Padres. I don't see anybody else out there.
  5. Or he is just in the process of rehabing and doesn't want to throw his hardest. I think it is way to early to say that he is damaged goods.
  6. I think he is saying that Murton should be our starting leftfielder next year. I could be misinterpreting what he is saying though.
  7. Oh really? Where else was he mentioned in this thread?
  8. Are you saying the southside is going to try to secede? Cause I think we could take them.
  9. Please stop it with that moniker. I don't get it. The bolded part.
  10. I would gladly give Miggy as much money as he wanted if he were to play for the Cubs in the future.
  11. I'm glad I'm in the north suburbs. I still heard fireworks around my house though. :(
  12. I am going to go out on a limb and say next year won't be our year.
  13. I know the scouting report from BA you are talking about. He still isn't throwing the pitch. And btw, I saw him in his home major league debut.
  14. No, I meant his power curve. I'm sure we are talking about the same pitch though. Also, while his changeup is supposed to be pretty nasty as well (according to BA scouting reports I read), he threw almost exclusively fastballs and curves when I saw him. He did mix in a couple changes but didn't use the pitch all that much.
  15. Felix's top two pitches are better than Angel's. His fastball sits at 96-97 and hits 100 at times. Felix's curve is absolutely nasty. I'm not sure about after that. I saw him shut down the Twins in Seattle and could not have possibly been more impressed.
  16. Yeah people on this site never get down on Cubs management. It's all excuse making and White Sox hating. You're being sarcastic, right? We've been dissing Dusty Baker since the 2005 season began, and Jim Hendry and company haven't exactly escaped punishment either. Yes, he was.
  17. I'm glad the "rational" sox fan lambasts Carlos Lee for not taking walks (57 in 05), when his boy AJ walked only 23 times. Carlos is a corner outfielder who has a lead glove therefore his ability is dependant on his home runs. His salary is too much for his minimal production. AJ is a cheap catcher who prior to this year hit for average. That's ridiculous. So because he doesn't get paid much he doesn't have to take a walk? Come on.
  18. Oh trust me, it won't. I've already been told that the Cubs "better not win it for at least 20 years" because the Sox "need their time to shine". The White Sox's stupid little unloved child complex is beginning to truly annoy me. Ozzie Guillen had already said he hates Wrigley Field and bashed Dusty Baker about not supporting the Sox this postseason (because we all know Ozzie would be all dressed in blue if the roles were reversed). Even in the playoffs, the Sox and their fans can't stop whining about the Cubs. I have no problem with anybody bashing Dusty, no matter what the reason.
  19. Cause the Cubs part isn't true?
