    You obviously haven't seen him pitch. Felix is a very dominant pitcher and he will be remembered as one of the best pitchers in the history of the game if he doesn't get derailed with injuries. Too bad he isn't going to play in the WBC. The Mariners held him out cause they don't want him to get injured. Also, the Cy Young award is overrated. Well, that's just outrageous. Why? He has some of the best stuff I have ever seen. I was at this game and I can honestly say that I have never seen a 19 year old dominate a major league baseball team like that. For most of the game it was almost like it wasn't even fair. One day soon, he will be known as the best pitcher in baseball.

    I was one of the fools who thought JoBo was going to be lights out in the 9th last season (for us). I didn't want to overpay for mediocre pitchers. Although, I shouldn't act all high and mighty. I wanted us to trade for Kolb. :)

    Honestly, I was never more embarressed to be a Cubs fan than that moment. Ditto. I'm not sure what to say in response to people who honestly think that booing Sammy freaking Sosa was less embarrassing than booing LaTroy Hawkins who caused us so much misery in just over one season. Booing is different from the whole stadium chanting "Hawkins sucks!" Maybe they should have been chanting Dusty sucks since he is the one that kept putting LaTroy in a situation where he had failed multiple times in the past.

    I'm not gonna lie, I wanted us to stay as far away from him as possible (along with the rest of the closers that were on the FA market last year).

    Well, he would have had to have gone to an AL team as a DH cause he is an extreme liability on defense anywhere on the diamond.

    i am all for getting carlos lee, whenever he plays at wrigley he rakes; but what happens to matt murton if he has a very good season in 06? you are still stuck with jock in right... and pie is also on the horizon. imagine a 3-5 of lee lee and ramirez =P~ One of Murton (if he does well) or Carlos can play right. I don't care about Jones. Trade him away for all I care. Pie can play center and ship away Pierre if he plays up to expectations. Or you can keep Lee in left, put Pie in right, and trade away Murton and Jones. sure we could very easily trade murton, but who would want jones for that price? if they can't trade him he'll play. they aren't going to bench that salary regardless if there are better options or not. I'm sure someone would take him. Granted, I wouldn't expect much in return other than a couple of prospects and eating some of the money but that is fine.
