  1. Even if he would be there, the Bears aren't going to take him. You've been a Bears fan long enough to know that.
  2. wha? you serious? hahahaha
  3. I'm glad he's coming back. My team is building up a very big, very fast, very smart defense, and now a very versatile defense, that winning another championship for Florida is no guarantee. If I had some, I would put money on LSU/Alabama ending Tebow's dream of another championship in the SEC Championship. Why did you quote this post? It has absolutely nothing to do with what you said... There were posts about Tebow returning all around the post he quoted. I'd say he just hit the "quote" on the wrong post. Yep. no problem, it just confused the hell out of me lol
  4. They aren't letting peppers go.

  6. so yeah having a rookie qb drafted either late in the first or second round starting from the beginning of the year....that's going to go over well with your veteran team. betcha delhomme is back or they grab a veteran to start while the rookie sits on the bench to start the year.
  7. hey you shut up he's going to the bears.
  8. George J. Perles is a retired American football coach. He was a defensive line coach, defensive coordinator, and assistant head coach for the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers from 1971-1981 and the head coach of the Michigan State Spartans from 1982-1994. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Perles no wonder, what a dumbass.
  9. oh man how fitting would it have been if he went pro and got drafted by the lions. I am actually extremely disappointed that he didn't go pro. :( btw what background did he have with the steelers? I hope it wasn't player evaluation or scouting. Also, he may "have the intangible qualities" but he certainly doesn't have the physical ones.
  10. I dunno, everything I have heard on the radio the last couple of weeks about him has been really positive. I think that most people realize that there wasn't really a whole lot that he could have done with that team in detroit and that he was always a good dline coach in tampa ect. I'm pretty sure that it is going to be a mostly warm reception.
  11. And just a confirmation from rotoworld.
  12. sure you delete my picture of the walrus but not the dusty baker discussion. I sense a bias.
  13. btw labron totally stole the chalk blow thing from jordan.
  14. apparently raiders have a thing for goofy looking linemen http://www.raidersonline.org/images/robert%20gallery.jpg
  15. Maclin in the first, DE in the 2nd sounds good to me. :)
  16. The Bears oline has been pretty decent the last couple of years. It hasn't been in the top 5 but it certainly hasn't been bad.
  17. It's a good way to sink a lot of money into questionable people.
  18. If he is available and they don't pick him i'm going to be pissed.
  19. But he would wear eye glare strips with his favorite verse from the bible written on them.
  20. Did you guys hear that Tebow went to the Philippines? Cause he did.
  21. link And Cedric and Rex were busts. They were first round picks that weren't able to get it done when they were starting. Both Tank and Marc would have to be considered busts in regards to their time with the Bears as well. The Bears got very little playing time from Marc and while Tank did play well he was only with the team for 1-2 years. That has to be considered a failure out of what was almost a first round pick. Rex wasnt a bust. He wasnt a great pick but when I think of busts I think Kingler, Leaf, McNown.. Not someone who has a 19-11 record starting, and is one of only 2 bears qb's ever to start all 16 games, and lead them to a super bowl. With that said okwo and buizine were just awful picks and have hurt the team badly. I consider Rex a bust. The fact that the team did well while he was playing had less to do with him than the fact that we had a really good defense. When I look at Rex I see a good backup quarterback that is able to come in and finish off a game if your starter gets injured. All you have to do to mess him up is blitz right up the middle and he runs like a little girl flailing his arms. A first round pick that turns out to be a backup qb is a bust.
  22. when I was poking around I found this quote, which I thought was pretty interesting. link And Cedric and Rex were busts. 23. Well penalties and turnovers have stopped them, not OU's defense. Then again, the same case can be made for Florida's versus OU. tim tebow has stopped them with his little bitch arm and his stupid decisions you mean first round quarterbacking talent amirite
  24. Angelo has been particularly questionable at the top of the draft, the first 3 picks. His misses: Marc Columbo (1st round 2002), Roosevelt Williams (3rd round 2002), Terrence Metcalf (3rd round 2002), Michael Haynes (1st round 2003), Rex Grossman (1st round 2003), Tank Johnson (2nd round 2004), Cedric Benson (1st round 2005), Mark Bradley (2nd round 2005), Dan Bazuin (2nd round 2007), Michael Okwo (3rd round 2007). Of Angelo’s 7 first round draft picks since 2002, he has completely whiffed on 4 (Columbo, Haynes, Grossman, and Benson), hit it big with one (Tommie Harris) and jury still out on two (Greg Olsen and Chris Williams). One position that has been completely neglected is offensive line. After picking T Marc Columbo #1 in 2002, Angelo doesn’t even sniff a top OL pick until 2008 with #1 pick T Chris Williams. In fact, in 7 total drafts, Angelo drafted a total of 8 offensive lineman (2 in the 1st round, one in the 3rd round, one in the 6th round and 4 in the 7th round) Of those lineman, only 3 are still with the Bears. The injury to Williams is the icing on the sketchy cake for Angelo’s lack of high round draft pick success. Hits in the top 3 rounds include: Charles Tillman (2nd round 2003), Lance Briggs (3rd round 2003), Tommy Harris (1st round 2004), Bernard Berrian (3rd round 2004), Devin Hester (2nd Round 2006) and arguably Greg Olsen (1st round 2007), twice as many misses than hits in the first three rounds. Of all Angelo picks, only 4 made it to the Pro Bowl (Hester, Harris, Briggs, and Vasher). link
