    Contract vs. performance, I don't think Urlacher has trade value anyway. Well yeah I know but that is a name that people in Chicago are tossing around on talk radio so I used him. I don't know what players we would even want to trade..

    nope our 3rd left to the Broncos as part of the Cutler trade. Also we have 3 7ths with comp picks.

    They won't be able to trade for Boldin. They don't have good enough draft picks left to get him. They only have 2 3rds, 2 4ths, 2 5ths, a 6th and a 7th. There isn't enough value there to get Boldin unless they trade Urlacher or something.

    yeah, ahead of verlander among others i mean, it wasn't a great draft overall, but when are teams going to learn that they need to just pony up the $, this signability stuff at the top of round 1 annoys me to no end Worked out pretty well for the Twins.

    No kidding. I'd take a horrific Andruw over a less than mediocre Gathright any day of the weak. At least with Andruw there is a slight chance he might figure out how to hit a baseball again. Obviously I don't want Gathright on the Cubs, but considering the last two yrs of AJ, and NOOOO I wouldn't even offer him a minor league contract. Unless he proves otherwise, AJ is done. it probably needs to be pointed out that 2 years ago gathright and jones posted the exact same ops+ (88)and that was in gathright's career year. at least andruw is fat, what's gathright's excuse He sucks?

    Hendry probably could have had his pick of the litter 3 years ago. You can't really crucify Hendry on this guys. Had he traded them then and they became good, you'd crucify him. He took a gamble that many people would have been willing to take (on Pie and Rich). Rich Hill was outstanding for a year and half and looked poised to break out last season. Michael Wuertz and Ronny Cedeno never had much value to begin with so it's irrelevant. Remember when Rich Hill and Felix Pie were "untouchable" two seasons ago? That was pretty much exactly what Hendry said. Two years later and he trades them for worthless 25 year old prospects that won't even see the majors.

    AZ is good on ends. They moved chike okeafor from end to linebacker at some point over the last season or so. They have travis laboy and bertrand berry.
