If the difference between the Cubs making the post-season or not is a Cardinals win then I will reluctantly root for them. In all other situations they can gloriously implode against every other team in baseball. The White Sox don’t bother me at all.
Hall was a victim of a crappy Jets offense and still produced. I would love to see him in a better situation. One of the rare 3-down studs in the league.
It isn't a direct one to one comp, but PCA reminds me a lot of Jim Edmonds. Lefty bat, highlight reel centerfielder, swagger that makes fans love or hate him. What he lacks in Edmonds' power he makes up for in speed that Jim didn't have.
No. There is no situation in April that I am ever rooting for the Cardinals. That whole organization and their clown ahh fair weather fans can get bent.
Sullivan would be a good hire, but like you said, he's going to garner a lot of interest. I would love to know how appealing Chicago actually is as a coaching destination right now.
Draft grades hold little significance because, ultimately, we're all just hoping that the players we believe in will succeed despite the fact that none of us truly know how it will play out. A look at past drafts consistently reveals that players who were highly sought after will often bust while those overlooked in the middle round can emerge as stars. Even a draft that receives an A+ grade from the "experts" carries a considerable risk of failing to deliver on most of its selections.
I started enjoying the draft more when I shifted my focus to supporting the individual success of each player my team selected rather than evaluating talent that I am unqualified to evaluate or getting attached to specific players. It's far less frustrating.
I will recant my previous statement as I feel that I entirely misrepresented my own position on the matter. Kaepernick himself was not a distraction. The situation, however, was at no fault of Colin himself.
