  1. All very true and I will always be an advocate for personal freedom. I still stand by my convictions that he was not a very good QB.
  2. That could not have been any closer without dropping in the basket. 😰
  3. Seems like every well hit ball the Cubs have had tonight has been right at a defender.
  4. Yea, weird comment. Even Carlos Peña gave us a 2.6 WAR season.
  5. I never said he was wrong for what he did but saying that it wasn’t a distraction would be disingenuous of me. I also agree that the NFL has historically swept incidents of domestic violence under the rug. There were several draft prospects with such incidents that were still drafted this weekend.
  6. For a little bit there I thought Dansby might be turning the corner at the plate.
  7. Kaepernick was not a distraction. You are correct. Edited after some reflection.
  8. In today's NFL with RPO offenses, and had he been less adamant about remaining a QB, Tebow maybe has some usefulness in a role similar to Taysom Hill. Maybe. Mariota is probably a better comparison for Kaepernick than Bortles. He was good enough to be on a roster but if you're counting on him as your starter you've probably got a lot of problems.
  9. Kaepernick was an exceptional athlete in an offensive system that did an incredible job hiding how much he actually sucked as a pro QB. He had a sub-60% career completion percentage. He was essentially a better utilized version of Blake Bortles. I’m not even sure what the Tebow comment is supposed to mean.
  10. No, they both just sucked as pros and weren’t worth the distraction and media attention they created for entirely different reasons.
  11. Both of them became significant distractions that overshadowed their on-field performances. In Tebow’s case, the fascination around him escalated to such a point that it became impossible to justify his place on a roster.
  12. If they win the lottery I would prefer they keep the pick and take Schaefer.
  13. Not getting the draft hate. The Bears have done well.
  14. After witnessing Flacco with the Colts last year I'm not sure that man can see the field anymore. I'm happy for Pickett, though. Takes a lot of guts to move out of state like that.
  15. Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden, Johnny Manziel, Baker Mayfield, DeShaun Watson… yea, why not Shadeur.
  16. Would not surprise me at all.
  17. I have been saying Dallas a lot in this thread and at this point they may be the only team equipped to handle the attention. The slide made Shadeur even more undraftable to most of these teams because it’s now created an even bigger story. It’s Cowboys or bust now.
  18. Imagine having Shadeur behind a struggling QB and then Daddy Prime starts media blasting the coach for not making the change to go to his son.
  19. Nobody wants the drama and circus that comes with him.
  20. Every time Wisniewski hypes up the pick everybody’s thinking it’s Shadeur.
