  1. Go Seahawks!
  2. Taking this one from the victory column? Seriously? Its a victory if only for the fact that Hendry got Nomar & Murton for Doug Mientkeivc (?sp? whatever). No matter if Jones turns out to be a #3 starter and Harris becomes Eckstein, the trade is still a win. Even hindsight makes this a good trade.
  3. For Some reason, Lou is having Zambrano go on 3 days rest (after his Friday Start) and Lilly will also go on 3 days rest after this weekend. Add this to a Trachsel start on 3 days rest (Thursday) and we seem to be using that 6 man rotation quite well. Any ideas as to why? Also, Kevin Hart, NOT Marshall is slated to start game 2 of the doubleheader. all this is from Rotoworld blurbs...
  4. How many AB's does it take for Floyd's option to kick in?
  5. There's the Cubs Baseball we like
  6. another horrible ref call With the Michigan punter running into the Oregon player and apparently thats roughing the kicker
  7. Yeah. I thought the same thing. Maybe the refs were trying to make it harder for Oregon
  8. why is Jones down to the 8th spot? I mean if you are going to hit your CF 8th, put Pie there
  9. 16 plays over 10 yards by Oregon
  10. Ha Ha! That run was the perfect symbol of Michigan Futility
  11. Gotta Love it! I am a Duck guy (Grew up in Oregon) I knew this team was solid but I didn't think the D was this good
  12. sometimes it just takes time to find the right one. I am sure that you are glad that you tried again! I am not sure if I could have after all that.
  13. I lived with my wife while dating, then engaged and now as man & wife. Making the decision to move in together sent my mother to therapy and she nearly committed suicide and our relationship has (obviously) been very different since. It is still a big decision no matter your faith. You are making a decision that will change your lifesytle dramatically. For some its easy and others its harder and that is why they want to test the waters first so to speak. For me it was purely a financial decision. Logically it didn't make sense for each of us to spend 55% of our income on 1 bedroom apartments (Los Angeles area at the time) and then end up not using one of the places that often because we would be spending the night at each other's place. It has strained my family relationships to the point where it hurt my wife's image with the entire family. Now she battles this everytime we all get together. Rather them seeing the great person she is, they see a sinner who corrupted me. I know it has been hard for her but ultimately, it was the right decision or 4 years later we still wouldn't have been married because we couldn't afford the wedding.
  14. Yours is a much sillier statement. So it is not bullying to point out someone's faults and then making a spectacle of them? Showing that you dislike someone's actions is easy enough in more constructive ways. Don't go to the game, ignore the action altogether, write concerned letters. What purpose does booing have?
  15. "fans have the right to boo" What a silly statement. Everyone has rights does it make it acceptable? There are better ways to show your displeasure over the outcome of a game then literally being a bully.
  16. Go back to your hole. whatever hole he came out of better be pretty damn big cause theres alot of us that are comin from the same place Really? Lee is a whining crybaby? The more posts I read, the more I agree with Z and Lee that Cub fans are foolish. Agreed Stitch. The turnaround from how the fans felt towards July Z and Z now is like watching Jones at the beginning of the season and now. 162 games. Let them play and then decide. I will NEVER understand why people boo the team that they are fanatic about. It is just not logical. Lets boo the players that we really, really want to win. Makes as much sense as selling an ocean view from North Dakota
  17. I understand the logic but wouldn't missing the playoffs by 3 games be the same thing as losing in the 1st round? Remember that only 8 teams make the postseason so regardless of the opinion of how good the team is, it is still special to see the red ivy behind Cub players.
  18. I posted. It looks different, but I could get used to it. Thanks Tim
  19. he went... 7ip - 1 ER 7 - 1 8 - 0 6.2 - 4 7 - 2 6 - 1 5 - 5 6 - 4 6 - 5 6 - 0 7 - 1 8 - 1 6.2 - 3 3 - 5 5.2 - 1 3 - 5 6 - 6 8 - 2 6 - 1 5 - 2 4.2 - 3 7 - 1 5.2 - 7 7 - 1 7 - 2 Thus I stand corrected. Outside of the typical start he is pretty consistent, just unfortunate. I remembered the older information differently. I apologize for my lack of information.
  20. sorry to be late to clarify. What I was merely pointing out (and this is older information) but back when we were comparing Marshall to Hill, the numbers of runs in each start was either very good (3 or less) or very bad (5 or more). I was just making mention that with Average stats it paints a poor picture, similar to the Marqui discussion of his ERA if you take out 2 horrible starts.
  21. Rich Hill is inconsistent. He is either really good or really bad. An average stat like ERA doesn't tell a true story of his season
  22. anyone hear this one? --From the Star Ledger
  23. what is the time on this thing? Is it delayed somewhat?
