0 chance he wins the heisman with this going on. people are not going to want to risk picking a guy who could later be in prison for rape. if it comes down to it, mccarron will win. I'm hearing it should be resolved shortly, and in a somewhat interesting way. Absolutely no more rapes for the next 3 months. I would like to think this will teach players to employ the Dennis Rodman approach to sexual relations, where everything is documented and someone is waiting to wisk the girl out of the room at the first mention of "no."

Two items: 1. The insurance company will pay for the car. And an average dealership sells 100-200 cars per month. 2. On the FSU/Winston stuff, stop following it. I have sources on A LOT of stuff, and not one of them is batting above .100 on this incident. Everything that's been said has been false in some way, shape or form. News sources are really jumping the gun on the majority of this stuff, and there won't be any "truth" until a decision to charge or not is made. This is the ultimate decision of 'catastrofu'.

Re: Hoke and Michigan, it's going to take time - and see what the expectations truly are. I'll use the analogy of Jimbo Fisher and FSU. He's in his 5th year, and is 41-10. He should/could be around 46-5, and that's what people think he should be. And he's paying the price for that. But when you look back at the stock of talent he was left with after Bowden was (thankfully) forced out, it's a miracle that we have that record over his first 51 games AND have the opportunity to play for a BCS championship if we don't blow it. Michigan needs to realize that last season was a mirage of sorts, and that they are 3 years away at this point. They need to stick to the process and wait it out, as unbearable as that seems.

Only watching because I'm an FSU fan and will be more nervous about potential injuries than enjoying the game. As a potential BCSCG team, I'm glad FSU did this to mimic the SEC. I don't think anyone could have predicted we would need an easy week before the UF game this year. In most years, I'll allow it and appreciate it. As a fan, the practice eats dog turds.

He has taken low-level cases and trumped them up (Peter Warrick & Laverneous Coles) to felony-level charges for the notoriety. He has more sway at TPD than anyone at FSU does. He's an academic guy, and focuses more on that side - which has improved quite considerably since he was hired. FSU academics aren't as bad as their reputation, especially in certain fields, and the quality of professors has gone up considerably as well. Doin' well, but busy as a one-armed wallpaper hanger. We were just wondering what you've been up to the other day. How are things in your world?

You know nothing about FSU football if you think the Tallahassee Police Dept. does any favors for FSU players. Everything I'm hearing from program insiders says that there is no worry about this situation. Even the University President came out today and said that he doesn't feel the "brouhaha" is going to tarnish FSU's image. He would not comment if he didn't know 100% that Winston was clean.

He's lucky there have been as many injuries as there have been. A friend of mine is well-connected to the UGA boosters, and they are chalking this up as a fluke season (at this point). That said, they have been very close to firing him before, so a few issues could make this go sideways for him quickly.

No, we (FSU) wouldn't be the 1-loss team in the title game, since our loss happened too late in the season. I would guess it would be Stanford based on their resume and the fact it was an early loss (always beneficial in the BCS model).

Really would prefer to see Louisville and Stanford switch this year. Rose Bowl tradition be damned, Louisville/Wisconsin and UF/Stanford would be better games than what we'll get.

If they're smart they'll throw and throw often. ND's freshman CB got burned numerous times by Navy WR's. Sticking to screens and runs plays right to ND's strengths. That was a risk ND was willing to take so that was the scheme used. Not saying Russell is Dijon Sanders but they dared Navy to throw a lot knowing they wouldn't and put the corners on islands and played safeties close. I think we'll see a lot of zone this week. Dijon Sanders? The mustard loving CB?

It was a great day for us. Having only 20 or so spots available and finishing with the #2 overall class (with 2 kickers included) is amazing. The star power is off the charts; I hope they can live up to it. Losing Fowler was a big blow, but even worse was how it was done. Apparently, last night he called to confirm that he was going to be in the class, which led to us telling Leonard Williams to look elsewhere. Then, out of nowhere, he flips to UF today - and we've passed on Leonard Williams, a more than serviceable replacement. Rumors that his slow paperwork was related to this (not sure if true). Either way, it was a great day. Darby was icing on the cake.

I can't imagine that's true. Than the SEC? It's most definitely true. And, should the NBA get the CBA amended to have 2/3 years of college prior to being eligible, the overall CBB product will improve, and the ACC will see that improvement as well, especially when factoring in the new additions of Syracuse and Pitt.

When Silver tried to point out that Georgia Tech has cornered the Atlanta market due to its proximity, I knew the article wasn't worth printing out to wipe my butt. He needs to stick to dealing with political polling projections.

There was a quote from Slive directly debunking that theory. And, interestingly, most FSU fans that I know don't want to go to the SEC and would prefer the ACC for a variety of reasons, the best of which being that it's an easier path to the BCS championship in the ACC (even though we've failed recently) and that the ACC makes more money in the end due to its better basketball production. I'm shocked you didn't know that all reports are fact. Psssssh!

Just saw this on the ESPN bottom line. Right after it said that the SEC denies that it extended an offer. My friend's dad is a board member at UGA. Says that Slive really wants FSU, but isn't sure how it's going to work due to the ACC money issue.

I don't know where this originated, but a friend in Tallahassee today told me that Notre Dame would prefer to remain independent in football and with the Big East in hoops/other sports. But if they're forced, they would prefer to join the ACC over other conferences should the Big East fold. I'm not sure how to feel about that, or if it's even true - but that's another issue, since all the rumors are ridiculous as it is.

Just my guess, but the NCAA is going to laugh at them. That might be one of the biggest self imposed penalties any school has placed on themselves too. It's funny, the more I thought about this the more I agree. The NCAA, for some reason, likes when teams vacate wins, when schools don't really give a flying leap. But schools hate giving up bowl appearances, TV money, and scholarships to compete in the future, and the NCAA tries to stay away unless they want to make a point. This might actually be somewhat close to the final decision, unless they hammer them due to the coaches participating.

I wasn't expecting us to contain your offense as well as we did, and I wasn't expecting your D to be as good as it was (and our interior OL to be like a sieve). Playing against a team as good as OU makes me realize that while we're getting back to the top of CFB, we were down even further than anyone cared to realize under the last few years of Bowden. All in all, it was a great game. Most games of that nature get overhyped and don't live up to expectations, but this one did. And Doak Campbell Stadium was insane - I haven't seen it like that since the late 90's for a full game.

You guys killed us physically. We lost a QB, a couple WRs, a DT is hurt, and a few others have lingering issues. Not only do we now have to overcome the loss, but we're beat up heading into our only other challenging game before Nov. That sucks.

I will spot you the KU defense and raise you the Auburn defense. They are terrible, and making Clemson look good. We've given up 600 yards through 3 quarters. 441 yards rushing. 52 points already. Average scoring drive is like 90 seconds. Greg Robinson is watching this defense saying, "Man this defense is bad." ETA: 3 50+ yard scoring drives in UNDER 15 seconds. To be fair, most teams don't run the triple option much anymore. But that's hideous.
