    Hindsight is pretty good, guys. Generally speaking, the Fukudome signing was labeled as a good signing. It's not like they signed him with the understanding that he'd suck balls for 2/3 of the year. That rosenbloom lost me at "Theriot -- hit .300. . . .." A guy like Theriot has a place on the team -- fine. Just don't let him hit 9 bazillion times per season. Put him 8th. He's perfect there.

    My folks called last night and said they won an autograph lottery. They drew the name and got Sandberg. Today, Ryno signed a photo for my son. It reads, "To Ryne, best wishes. Ryne Sandberg, HoF 2005, #23." That's going to look so cool on my son's wall. Kudos to the grandparents!

    Believe it or not, but I could get that show --- waaaay down in Southeast Arkansas, I could get 820. I thought that '91 team was gonna be awesome. . . . . . oops. He's going to be on who in the what-what? The new show on Comcast SportsNet from 6:00 AM-9:00 AM with Mike North and Dan Jiggetts. I caught some of it this morning and I was impressed and I'm not even a big fan of Mike North. I remember their show from the early 90's on the Score( when it was on 820). It was actually a pretty good show.

    until I realized that young made 16 million bucks, I thought a soriano / young trade followed by a Dunn signing was great. oh well

    Some dude on XM this morning suggested a Soriano for Young trade. He said he's just thinking outloud --- it's not as much as a rumor.

    Yes, he most certainly was. unpossible! Jime Rice was the only feared baseball player of all time!!!!! FEAR FEAR FEAR. I think the writers just wanted to add some spice to the pre HoF ceremony movie night. .. .

    Dang. . . . I thought more of them. They are usually good, aren't they? They are the former Southeast Missouri State team that Alford coached, right?

    Missouri State is a good team and it was the opening of their new arena. . . . and the young hogs' first road game. I expected them to lose that one. Then again, I expected Texas to beat them :)

    I'd be willing to bet a fair amount of money that they don't go 13-3. For whatever reason, the road in the SEC is very tough. Couple that with the fact that Arkansas is a freshman led team and you have the potential for a few bad games on the road. I figure they'll go 11-5 or 10-6 at best. Yes, they are talented ---- way more talented than anyone gave them credit for. What's going to help is that they could well be 25-7 even after losing a game in the SEC tourney. The committee will have a tough time giving them a poor seed with such a good record and such good wins (Oklahoma and Texas) on their schedule. I do agree that the SEC is down this year. The league really shouldn't get more than 3-4 bids this year.

    The Big 12 must suck ass. The "experts" picked Arkansas to finish dead last in the SEC West. The hogs beat Oklahoma and are giving Texas a helluva game.
