You can never count out the Brewers. We should assume they'll be good unless they show regression on the field. We still have a chance for the division but it's not trending well, the Brewers look like they haven't skipped a beat from last year.
I was never convinced they were a 90 win team. High 80s seemed right, and still does depending on injuries. Some guys were due to regress a bit offensively. My opinion on the position side hasn't changed at all since March. I agree that one month of slumps doesn't change anything.
Shota had been terrible to finish the year, Tailon and Rea were going to be a year older. Cabrera was promising and still is but it was unknown what we'd get from him with the walks and he's also had arm issues, Boyd was pitched into the ground last year and would be a year older Steele was also an unknown. So the rotation was the biggest unknown, as I guess it usually is for most teams these days.
