  1. Beautiful! Really good start to this tough stretch.
  2. I know it’s April, but this is a very satisfying series!
  3. Again, I had no idea you needed me to specify that I didn’t want players hurt. Why would anyone need me to write that out when it’s so obvious? Either way, let’s just agree to disagree and watch the rest of the game that has absolutely no chance of being played today.
  4. And no one said otherwise. We’re discussing if it makes more sense to cancel a game with a large scoring deficit, or to try and play it later. Following so far? Either way, common sense would dictate the latter option due to the score. You proceeded to tell everyone who posted anything here that the game is being cancelled. You don’t know that. You have no source. No inside knowledge of any kind and are, at best, rolling the dice on a 50% outcome so you can puff out your chest and say “see, I told you” if they cancel the game. That’s a very weird way to spend a Sunday, but you do you.
  5. Yes, it’s all encompassing. You just weren’t bright enough to grasp that. Never stated to put the players in danger. Only said it’s common sense to play this one out. Please, no name calling either. It’s not polite in general but looks absolutely ridiculous from someone of your advanced age.
  6. Not sure when I indicated to send them out in poor conditions. They’ll obviously be assessing that. But you seem to want to play weather man in this thread so let’s send it over to you and you can continue to tell us what works best for all parties involved.
  7. 100% agree with this. Again, this isn’t a cub fan thing either. I just think this game is deep enough in where it’s silly to completely scrap it.
  8. Because there’s a large difference in the score? Tie game fine. But when a team is up 6 you don’t scrap the entire game. That’s ridiculous. Not just as a cubs fan. If the opposite were true I’d not want that mulligan for the cubs either.
  9. That doesn’t surprise me. Last week I checked my phone before walking the dog and the radar was empty. Before we got outside it started pouring 😂
  10. My phone shows it clearing up by 4:30-5:00 as well. Let’s hope they use common sense and wait it out.
  11. Don’t love the hr tendency of Shota vs this dodger team. But damn, this would be a nice series to take.
  12. I know we’re limited, I’m just not sure he’s the righty I’d have brought in. He just has no control at times. It really is like Marmol.
  13. I think Cuas would be better suited starting his own inning is my thought. He’s too wild at times to get out of a jam. Oh well, not like we didn’t have offensive chances too.
  14. I’m with you. I didn’t even know he was hurt before I saw that headline today. If we traded for him instead of signing Shota, Bieber, Steele, and Tallion could have potentially all been injured together.
  15. Right? Though, so far Busch looks really, really good. I love the walks from him.
  16. Damn, looks like we dodged a bullet with Bieber.
  17. What a fun game! Let’s get greedy and get two out of three.
