Wow PCA looks bad at the plate. Good god.

What's more of a joke? Ben brown's pitching or his goofball face? Big eared bitch.
  4. Cubs420psd
Lol you suck dude. Get Assad up here now.

Season is far from over, obviously, but I can't say I love the outlook. Major part of the Cub success last year was their first half. Alot of that success came from having a top 10 player in all of baseball through June ( Tucker) and getting an unreal first half from PCA. Either these things aren't happening again. Now add in Horton is probably out for a long time? I dont have the warm and fuzzies.

There is no unleashing Cade Horton. The kid is made of glass. He will have to be agonizingly babied his whole career.

Tears in his eyes, its his arm.
  9. Cubs420psd
Its his arm. Dude doesn't come off the mound with tears in his eyes because his hammy is hurt. Hes horsefeathered and so are the cubs.
  10. Cubs420psd
This is why I could never get too excited about Horton. Its always been something with him, ever since college. Dude is a walking injury. There goes any potential for a deep run. Fantastic.
  11. Cubs420psd
No more Conforto please. Play Shaw until Seiya comes back.
  12. Cubs420psd
    Oh fantastic!

Looking a little ahead to the draft, the name I like most at 25 right now is Cashius Howell. Hes a little undersized and has short arms but the dude can rush the passer. His quirkiness and bend are impressive.
  14. Cubs420psd
Junior Lake is on team DR. That name was a blast from the past.

Looks like Kepley is having a good spring, thats intriguing.

Shhhh na man let him go, he thinks hes cooking.
  18. Cubs420psd
Na man, Matt Shaw sucks. Not like he was one the best hitters on this team the second half of the season as a rookie, all while playing a really good 3b. Definitely can't use any of that. TrAdE HiM

Lol wow triggered, off the meds?

So if the Cubs sign Gallen, that leaves. Horton Boyd Shota Cabrera Gallen Tallion Steele Rea That's 7 legit starters with an 8th guy who is also pretty decent. Not to mention Assad, Wicks and possibly Wiggins. And in that situation, I don't see how someone doesn't get traded. Its just too much of a log jam. If Ricketts is really willing to commit to another 15-20 mil a year type player to this years roster I would almost rather have Jed try to find another bat or high leverage BP arm.

Counsell was just on The Score. He made it seem like Shaw might see some serious innings in the OF.
  22. Cubs420psd
Idk if they are the second best team in the NL, but I think they are better than last year. I think the starting rotation, bench and bullpen( atleast on paper) are better. I expect the offense to take a step back. I don't expect to see repeat performances from guys like PCA, Kelly and Seiya. I like Bregman, but I agree with others hes not a true replacement of Tucker. Its gonna come down to the bullpen, i think the rotation's going to be really good, especially in the regular season, but the bullpen im not as sure of. If they get solid production there, I think it'll more than make up for a dip in offense.
  23. Cubs420psd
Just insane. The Dodgers are the making the Evil Empire era Yankees look like a small market club.
  24. Cubs420psd
I dont want to trade Nico but if you can get someone like Early? That would be tough to turn down.
  25. Cubs420psd
Unless Tom is on Jed's nuts to get under the luxury tax i see no reason to trade Nico. If you don't want to give them a big extension after this year, fine, you have Shaw who can be the heir apparent while he's the super utily guy this year. But I think he fits really well on this team and at his current price is still a bargain.
