  1. Add another SP and one or two backend RP pieces and we are cooking. Guessing the breakdown is something like Tucker 5.7 and Suzuki 3.3 between RF and DH.
  2. Interesting, opens a 40 man spot. Also, does that mean Mo is currently catcher #3?.
  3. Bruce talks Bellinger and Luzardo. Says he's heard Giants have inquired about Bellinger. Says you have to get a good player back for Bellinger, can't just be a straight salary dump, etc. Says they don't have to get the deal done immediately. e t
  4. Fully disagree. Change “can’t” to “won’t” and I fully agree.
  5. That’s kind of the point of my post. We act like what is said in the media is going to influence or force a billion dollar club with unlimited data and scouting resources to be scared. In reality, what is said in the media does not matter. No club is suddenly going to believe we are keeping Bellinger if we leaked we’re trying Busch at 3b. Same with Hawkins’ quote, no one actually believes we are keeping Bellinger because of the financial need for his $$$ elsewhere. With that said, you can absolutely find PA’s for these guys without having people out of position. What if PCA struggles? Stick Bellinger in CF. Going against a tough lefty? Stick Bellinger at 1b or CF. Injuries? Days off? As TT pointed out, it’s not that hard to find PA’s with 6 guys for 5 spots.
  6. The pivot is Carter saying to the media recently that with Bellinger’s flexibility they would have no problems keeping him on the roster position wise. Mariners, Giants, Phillies being floated around over the past week or so are also pivots. These orgs are working with more data than we can comprehend, do you really think the Cubs floating “We’ll stick Busch at 3b” is really going to make the Yankees flinch?
  7. Heyman doing his best to show Yankees have other options
  8. This is a good buy low opportunity for the Cubs. If Luzardo is never injured last year, his price is 2x-3x. With that said, please hold onto Caissie and let this be Triantos that goes. I can cope with the thought of Tucker walking after this season knowing it’s giving us a year to groom Caissie for taking over in RF. I do wish this was the Boyd move however and we were in on a more sure thing at the top end of our rotation.
  9. Yep he makes a lot of sense for what they need if they could dump Nick C’s contract somewhere and the framework becomes Belli+ for Bohm. But I’m also hoping in general the Belli trade lands us a piece we need for next season - either a utility guy or BP piece. If the Cubs like Warren enough to think he can fill a Wesneski type role, I’ll trust their judgement, but he’s not my favorite type of return I’m hoping for.
  10. I’d love for another team to swoop in and trade for him and watch Yankee fans whine more after missing on Soto/Tucker/Bellinger.
  11. Wow A’s making noise this off-
  12. Haven't followed this account before, seems to have been correct the past couple of days. Don't know if he's been piggybacking off of others or has legit info. TIFWIW
  13. My dynasty fantasy team that has Paredes got a lot better today.
  14. Castellanos is a complete money dump. Owed 2 years $40m. They're attaching him to Bohm to get from out under that contract and want more flexbility at DH and better OFers. Suzuki would not be going back. I don't know what it would look like prospect wise, but Bellinger makes a lot of sense for what they need and unloading Castellanos makes a lot of sense for them. And then it opens up 3b for lets say Bregman for them.
  15. Framework of Bellinger for Bohm/Castellanos is a wash money wise. I know we're trying to spend Bellinger's $$$ elsewhere, but trading for a cost controlled SP is still on the table at some point.
  16. "There’s been a mix of if Castellanos in this discussion (possible Chicago reunion)"
  17. I saw that as well. That twitter has been correct before, but also spews a lot of possible deals. Very interesting if the Cubs are truely interested in Bohm
