  1. hooray it's suddenly another "corey is stubborn and i know this by watching him on tv" thread
  2. This is just a side note and not an answer to your question, but Luis' arm is laughably bad. He longs for the strength and precision of Moises Alou.
  3. sounds like somebody's afraid of getting fired
  4. i own a book written by tim mccarver : (
  5. For the season, Neifi's LD% is 23.3 and babip is .269. That's not a typo. For the season as a whole, Neifi has been unlucky. Whether or not he has been recently, I obviously don't know.
  6. There's no way we'd trade Macias unless we fire Hendry and someone else hires him to be their gm.
  7. you could just stop reading baker quote threads
  8. Amaury Telemaco was lights out against Atlanta in his debut.
  9. The middle line (07 May through 23 June) covers Rusch's starts. The other 2 lines are his relief appearances, before and since. Rusch IP H R ER BB K HR PC BB/9 K/9 HR/9 WHIP ERA 04/04 - 05/06 15.3 18 4 4 10 11 0 296 5.87 6.46 0.00 1.83 2.35 05/07 - 06/23 62.3 62 25 23 22 43 5 1031 3.18 6.21 0.72 1.35 3.32 06/24 - 07/08 3.0 9 7 6 1 4 2 92 3.00 12.00 6.00 3.33 18.00 season totals 80.7 89 36 33 33 58 7 1419 3.68 6.47 0.78 1.51 3.68 So basically Rusch is awesome wherever he pitches, the last three innings notwithstanding (although with way too many walks in an admittedly small sample on the relief side).
  10. How much are they going for? I've got two.
  11. It was. They were pretty cool. The were some teenage Cardinal fans next to me though, and they just thought it was hilarious to dismember the action figures, if not worse.
  12. Rich Hill is good. A lot better than Low-A. Harvey's home run tonight was the first I've seen in person this year, and I think this was my 11th game. I was glad to see the streak end. It was easily the longest homer I've seen at a Chief game this year, as it cleared the grass area in left-center. The zooperstars rocked the house. Way better than Myron Noodleman.
  13. Do you know the name of Drew Larsen's walk-up song? It's really awesome, but it has no words and I have no idea how to identify it.
  14. What did Damon say about Schilling?
  15. I don't see how anybody would benefit from a change of scenery if the new scenery is Coors Field. Washington doesn't exactly play in the Baker Bowl.
  16. You have got to be kidding me. Jesus Christ. Why do people feel the need to speculate on stuff like this? It never fails. Take a look around. If you want debate with no speculation, pick up a copy of Scientific American. There's a huge difference between speculating on "what this move means" or "who will be the starter" and just coming out and saying that someone is a "lying coward" for mentioning an injury. Grow up. I never said speculation was wrong, I said speculation over whether someone is lying, or whether or not someone "cares" is pointless and stupid and does nothing except make you look ridiculous. youre only saying that because youre a coward and afraid to see the truth
  17. points to da sig
  18. No need to apologize. He came up and didn't produce. There's no reason the Cubs shouldn't be looking for someone to take over LF. It was a beautiful dream once. And if he can go down the Iowa and get his swing back, maybe he can claw his way back and become our leftfielder of the future. Regarding Damon, I think our money can be better spent on someone younger and cheaper. He's had a few good years, but as someone said, he thinks he's God's gift to baseball, and he's going to want a fortune. There has to be a cheaper younger version of him out there somewhere. And hopefully Hendry will find him. I don't necessarily think it's fair to say Dubois is dead since he had .761 ops in 142 at bats. Unfortunately, I'm not the Cubs, so we'll probably just cut him.
  19. thnx for da sig
  20. I feel that the question mark needs to be bigger.
  21. Interesting. I know its pretty much unfoudned, But i have a real strange feeling bakers days here are officially over. Dusty Busters have been saying that since last fall.... I'm sure it's right around the corner. Oh grow up. First of all, If dusty busters is a term used to describe people who are sick of the worst lineups immaginable and horrid in game moves, then sure, I'm a dusty buster. Secondly, how can you disagree that him being canned is right aroudn the corner, Even if it doesnt come today or tomorrow like i feel, Its gonna come soon. I know you're a Dusty Buster. A typical feeling of Dusty Buster would be a crazy notion that his being fired is just around the corner. He is not. I'll bet you cold hard cash if you want: If you bet me $20 that he'll get fired in the next week I'll give you 20 to 1 odds that he doesn't - if he does that's $400 for you. But if you don't pay me when you lose, Tim gets to ban you. He won't draw the heat for losing - that's going to CP, Doobs, the injuries and thus far underperforming pitching. Weren't you asked by the mods to stop using that term? I read through the last six pages thinking that, and when I finally get to the I see that Vance has stolen my thunder by beating me to the punch.
  22. why do people think dusty will be fired? no they wont play. I honestly wish we had called up Calvin Murray and Trenidad Hubbard instead.
  23. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. yeah, then we'd only need two more hitters and two more relievers to be a real team
