  1. that game was amazing
  2. finally it comes out zambrano sucks cause he doesn't have any wins
  3. It's not the Brewers it's the pitching. its not just the pitching, our offense has been real bad as well. Other teams have been able to keep the Brewers in check. Hell, we did in game one. The last two days, the pitching as been a disappointment. what about our awesome 2 runs in 13 innings? It's hard to motivate the offense when they're blown out early. so the cubs were so sure that they were going to get blown out eventually that they decided to only get 2 hits in the first four innings despite being down only two?

  5. yeah that 3.94 era entering today has just been killing us
  6. that ball clearly slipped out of the side of his hand that was ridiculous
  7. murton has not looked good today, although it's not his fault that he's had so many plays to make near the wall today
  8. well that was awesome
  9. well that sucked
  10. All those numbers mean is that he is due for a hot streak to get back to career norms. The team has been winning despite his struggles, so hopefully they continue winning when he comes around. Same canbe said for Aramis Ramirez. Even if his numbers were much, much worse than what you could expect for him, there's no reason to think he'll get a hot streak to average it out. Averages do not work that way. Yes, they do. That is exactly why they are called averages. I wonder, do you just realize what you said? You just said that if you flipped a coin 10 times and it came up heads 10 times in a row, it would come up tails the next 10 times. A better way of putting it would be... You flip a coin 10 times and it comes up heads 10 times. You flip it another 90 times and you ought to end up nearer 50/50. But given that you've already got 10 heads, you're likely to wind up around 55/45 which is a lot nearer to 50/50
  11. Agreed. If used properly, he could be a good innings eating garbage man, but the only problem with that is that there will not be very many situations for him to come in since we wouldn't have him in the rotation anymore. I'd DFA him - Williams can cover that role. You also don't have bosses that wouldn't be very happy with you losing 5 million dollars. He isn't going to be DFA'd. Two words: sunk cost. exactly. we're paying rusch this money no matter what, it's stupid to pay him this money AND let him screw up our team.
  12. you forgot: aaron miles 280/393/400
  13. ahahahahahahahahhahaha
  14. 8 innings
  15. the bears probably shouldnt have consulted jim hendry for advice
  16. man speaks for truth
  17. His average is up to .275 now, but as someone else mentioned, he only has the one walk and isn't getting a whole lot of extra base hits or anything. that sounds awfully similar to another cf ive seen a lot of this year
  18. There's no reason he can't, but there's quite a possibility he won't. Is this the "refute the argument by stating the opposite" approach? If not, please support your argument with something other than a naked conclusion. i think the argument that an old first baseman who had a crazy good season preceded by two terrible ones probably wont do it again stands pretty well on it's own.
  19. juan pierre was not terrible today
  20. ARam does. I know, I know, but I couldn't resist. aramis has an isop of 206 and nearly 2 walks for every strikeout, which is outstanding. neifi has a bunch of crap.
