  2. cuban could finance snuff films starring my friends and i'd still be cool with his buying the cubs
  3. [extended organ solo] you know that it would be untrue if i said you song didn't suck
  4. i hate to say it, but maybe the deal is backloaded
  5. not if the cubs still want to do the call up/send down game to make the bullpen bigger than it really is again.
  6. i'm now completely convinced on khalil greene, meph. before i ask you to go into it, is there any thread where you've explained your distaste for pie?
  7. the stats here are fine so long as you don't try to do things like single + sb = double also, foolproof
  8. dont be blown away by people like chone or brian roberts plz
  9. this guy here is dead
  10. you gotta anticipate man. the snake draft can be unmerciful

  12. that's way beyond out budget unless the next move is trade zambrano for prospects
  13. i dont think hendry knows what that word means
  14. it took me forever to make those stupid stat boxes so i'll thank you kindly to not quote them and make them screwed up i understand that they'd want to deal him, i just have no idea why neal cotts as a centerpiece would enter into the conversation.
  15. was teahen hurt or something last year? 2006- 21.8 ab/hr 2007- 77.7 ab/hr 393 ab's in 06, and 544 in 07 by the way, murton's careers slashes are .296/.365/.455 teahen's are .274/.340/.429 does teahen play good defense in the outfield? i guess you could always make the case that if two players put up similar numbers and only one of them plays in the hard league, that's the one you want.

  17. STOP GIVING NEW ENGLAND BREAKS, GOD
  18. i've been wanting to move lee to right for an immobile 1b for as long as we've had him
  19. what the hell, there's a person out there who thinks hill for hamilton would be a fair deal? i know he's a special case, but man, 300 major league ab's at age 26 and he has a terrible history. i guess i probably think less of hamilton than just about everyone else here.
  20. honus wagner played shortstop. really, really well, by all accounts. i realize you probably know that, but you probably realize that i know that cobb hit better than wagner over the course of his career. i suspect positional scarcity and defensive value slide wagner comfortably ahead of wagner, but i obviously have no way of proving that.
  21. i have no idea how i feel about quentin. it's important to remember that he's one of these arizona guys who played in crazy hitting parks/leagues all the way up.
  22. there's no way the cubs will get more value than a slightly below league average starting pitcher if they trade prior right now. I would have thought that, but that's also when I wouldn't have thought there's be a line around the corner asking about him. If there's a market, someone might overpay. Jim Hendry = Best Buy on Black Friday... People are lining up...nobody's overpaying. well played.
