    i went to the wc game in pittsburgh in 2015. the poor pirates fans were so sure they were going to rattle arrieta. they legitimately believed that he was going to have a bad game because of their chants getting in his head or something. they were also really mad about his tweets. that was a good night.

    i know i said last year that everyone talking themselves into heyward's fluke 3 for his last 9s or whatever was like in little big league when billy falls in love with his favorite player's seeing-eye singles, but this new "ALERT ALERT HEYWARD HAS HIT THE BALL AT LEAST KIND OF HARD IN CONSECUTIVE SPRING TRAINING GAMES" really takes the cake. we all want him to be good soooooo much. it is adorable.

    the cubs are awesome but the nicknames aren't cutting it (sorry bryzzo). let's think of interesting and descriptive nicknames for all the players. bonus points for making them weird and old-timey. after we think of the best ones, goony can use the nsbb twitter to popularize them in the mainstream. your good ideas might legit catch on and get awkwardly relayed to a cub by jesse rogers!
