welcome to gam thread i am tre- just kidding this team is horsefeathering garbage and doesn't deserve a proper thread. don't watch this game. go do anything else. even if they win, it won't mean anything. you'll still think all the same thoughts and have all the same doubts. we are well beyond a single game recovery. so go do something with your friends and loved ones. eat nachos in the street. play catch with your kid at the park. go for a drive in the country with the windows down at dusk and smell the fresh air. whatever you can think of that you don't spend enough time doing, TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT YOU CAN DO IT. you can check the score of the game when you think it's probably over. if the cubs happen to win, you'll have a bonus moment of happiness. when you (inevitably) see that they have lost, you'll be sad for a second and then happy you did something fun instead of wasting your time on them. you only have so many days left. fewer than you'd probably guess. how many times are you going to get to spend time with your parent/sibling/friend again, really? everyone is so busy, but part of the reason you're so busy is because you waste time on the cubs. don't do that tonight. they aren't worth it right now. hopefully they'll be worth it again soon, and you'll be fully able to carve time out of your schedule (aka the ever dwindling remainder of your life) to watch them then. make them earn your time first, though. you have so very little to waste.
