  1. i'll do it if you put some ridiculous stat categories in
  2. it really sounds like this was about to come out anyway, so it's hard to argue he cost himself money. might as well do it your way if the decision is going to be (unfortunately) forced upon you. also, if peter king's source is right and this guy goes undrafted, i'm going to have a hard time talking myself into sticking with the nfl. i don't know what it says about me that i can abide watching young men destroy their brains but not this. either way, i'd find it awfully crushing if they just blacklisted this guy.

  6. i loved that they were all like "man sammy has sucked this year maybe he will start being good soon" and then they put his numbers up and he's hitting like .288 with a .415 obp.
  7. if it wasn't clear, i made it to the bottom of the first before deciding this was too painful. also, corey patterson's swing was somehow even loopier than i remembered. ugh. i don't understand how he hit .050.
  8. oh hell yes i promise not to liveblog this but 75 seconds in and the sight of prior makes me want to throw up.
  9. oh hell yes
  10. logged in on the wrong account buddy
  11. Damnit. That's what we should have done this year. Not to mention, if our idea is to trade away space this year, my guess is that's out the window now. No one else is going to need space, if the Yankees spend that much. we don't have that kind of money We were only able to spend $11m or whatever because we gave away David Dejesus. and traded torreyes for cash
  12. Looks like a lot of people said no when their numbers came up. I think we figured they went through something like 25,000 people last year(though that may have been expanding the base moreso than people not renewing. Wonder how many they gave the call to this year. you should call them and tell them that every chance to buy season tickets is sacred and then laugh and tell them maybe you'll give it a shot six years from now

  14. Not only would it not shock me if he's traded, it wouldn't bother me either. Especially if he bounces back and the kids are ready to go. Castro would likely be moved for pitching and, if his value is restored, would probably bring back something good. OH BOY I HOPE WE HAVE A 24 YEAR OLD 4WAR SS TO TRADE AWAY SOON http://i.imgur.com/rBXeQql.jpg
  15. i don't really like any of the options here. none seem right. voted olt.
  16. scott probably didn't like tom's version of welfare-to-work that mostly involved scott scrubbing floors with his left arm during the 19 hours a day he wasn't actively doing rehab activities
  17. arodys would've been like number 8 but the front office straight up told us he's not healthy right now. he's out. i still say olt is impossible to rank. CANDYMAN WINS
  18. this is nice but i am more excited to read articles about when we get new hitters
  19. if you can create a culture of winning without actually winning, none of these worse mean anything any more.
  20. the cardinals have been under .500 one time since 1999. we can safely assume they will be solid or (more likely) better until they prove otherwise.
  21. i started to post this yesterday but was too lazy. 300 iso is so much today. 1 guy last year, 0 guys in 2012.
  22. olt is impossible because he's either a useful major league player this year and therefore way undervalued here or a non-entity for his whole career because he sees five baseballs when he should see one and is actually the 135th best prospect in the system. anywhere we put him is wrong. i punted and picked candelario.
  23. these guys and the bad british announcing guys need to be subsidized to whatever extent required to get one or the other every friday
  24. i was looking for that earlier and couldn't find it. thanks! for a new era, here's a good snippet:
