stop explaining offsides it's boring

i know the offsides rule! i'm pretty sure i posted something on facebook during the last world cup about why/how it should be changed, though, as the twenty total hours of soccer i've watched in my life qualify me to figure out how to improve it.

this is the thread for people like me who never watch soccer but watch the world cup. people can obviously post in both threads but if you are a soccer nerd, this whole thread (or at least my posts) will look like nothing but the hottest of hot sports takes. this is sort of the equivalent of the non-book reader thread for game of thrones. if this works like it should, it will be more enjoyable for us morons and the smart people can gawk and laugh here.

because there's a zero percent chance he comes up chicago until late april next year. the longer he's crushing in iowa, the more obvious it is that we're just stalling him. so we pretend like these arbitrary amounts of time at each level matter/mean anything. he'll go to iowa after the all-star break, finish the season there, start next year at iowa again, and then come up as soon as he looks hot (which is all the time). -

He's probably our most valuable non-player employee. And even including players he's gotta come in the top 10 Important? Sure. Valuable? What positive has he done since Ricketts took over? Well, we could play that game with everyone in this entire organization except for the moles who convinced Houston not to draft Bryant last June. The entire baseball ops plan is completely dependent on business ops getting the renovations done and securing TV deals. Nothing happens until they do their job. then they are the definition of replacement level and we shouldn't give a damn about them. if that's really the case, we should be looking to get someone in here who has ideas for how to avoid losing 100 games without leading the league in payroll.
