For an analogy, they are the Dallas Cowboys of international soccer. Maybe with some Notre Dame mixed in. That said, they aren't from a romance language country so I'll root for them over many of the teams in the world cup, including their whole group. But I certainly won't be sad if they fail. that makes sense, thank you

i don't really understand the enthusiasm for schwarber as a part-time catcher. obviously if he can stick and be a real catcher, that's outstanding. but if he's just a guy who goes back there once a week, it's hard to be excited. if he gets to the majors as any sort of exciting prospect, you're not going to mess with him risking injury/wear by catching. imagine if a hitter like rizzo got to the majors and the cubs started dicking around with him at catcher. it'd be infuriating. as such, the part-time catcher stuff really only comes up if he's a middling cof/1b guy and needs the catching on his resume in order to justify a spot on the team. that's a terrible outcome, and not one i'd be excited about at all. -

i don't know very much about soccer cleats but i hope you can kick them and make sparks on concrete like you can with baseball cleats
