    hoping for one, expecting zero. i am honestly surprised so many people (here and elsewhere) are so confident we'll get one of these guys. unless we get a deal/theo decides he can't live without his bff, i think it's much more likely we spread the money we spend around on an of, a couple lesser starters, and a reliever.

    yeah, something called against Long was more likely on DLP. yeah, there was one play where pretty much the whole team moved, including forte in the backfield, so it was obvious that the center just didn't snap the ball when he was supposed to do it.

    the umpire didn't make the out motion until rizzo stepped towards the dugout, which i interpreted to mean rizzo could have run to first and wasn't out until he moved toward the dugout and gave himself up.

    i thought about asking fred to let me start the last gam thread of the year, but i eventually decided GOOD RIDDANCE. 2014 was a slight improvement in that some new good guys started showing up, but it wasn't close to enough. next year is everything.
