  1. he needs to be a distant second. if the top guy is lester, this is fine. if it's not, this is a mess.
  2. why did i think hammel was only going to get two years ;(
  3. hammel and lester and no other pitchers would be awesome
  4. concerning. i like hammel in general, but it's hard to find a ton of spots for BOR guys on this team. hope this isn't seen as anything more than that.
  5. D.A.V.I.D. ERROR REPORTING SYSTEM yeah, this error is still popping up. i'd consider dropping the bit where it pretends it can sense heat and cold. laying it on a little thick
  6. No way. Easily the most fun. The NFL has the NFL draft, which >>>> anything anyone else has to offer. NFL and NHL at least everyone signs pretty much immediately. NBA and MLB are comparably bad, but MLB wins out because at least in the NBA the free-agent classes aren't all complete turds like MLB's has been lately. [expletive] the NFL draft Won't even entertain the notion that the NHL is interesting in any way, but why would everyone signing immediately be a good thing? That's not fun. Blowing your load right away is not fun. The MLB has the fact that it's winter and I get to daydream about summer going for it so that's a win When it's summer, no matter how excited I get over a Bears or Bulls move, it's always a bummer when I remember it has to be winter for it to come to any sort of fruition. D.A.V.I.D. ERROR REPORTING SYSTEM this sequence leads to results that don't make any sense at all. consider complete re-write
  7. he quit that show years ago possibly related note: that show stopped being particularly interesting years ago
  8. that was a lot of fun, although it is sad how keyed up i was just to see the bright sunshine and people outdoors. i hate winter.
  9. does katie pizza do delivery? you know what i'm talking about.
  10. REAL TALK if you see someone talking about the cubs and you don't think you can beat them at arm wrestling, great news you don't have to listen to them
  11. Castro not being on, let alone getting HM, seems like it may be his biggest oversight of any player. At least 73 guys having more trade value than Clayton Kershaw makes me think this was written by some shmuck at fangraphs. jonah keri is a half-step above that and less willing to say anything interesting or slightly controversial
  12. i like the layout with the rf board all the way in the corner a lot less. hope it's for a very good reason.
  13. I hate you fantasy football is going to be incredibly boring for me this weekend. i'm in three leagues and i have a first-round bye in the playoffs of two of them this week. zzzzzz luckily no one gets byes in the playoffs in the third league, so i'll have a few guys to root for at least.
  14. i will tweet at you as though you are watching the game live, don't worry
  15. ken tremendous has become impressively zzzzzz in his old age
  16. currently at 170 with rodgers still going and a kicker tonight. league record is 180. going to defeat the second highest scoring team of the week by like 50. ALL THIS IN THE LAST WEEK OF THE REGULAR SEASON AND I'VE ALREADY CLINCHED A BYE SO IT'S POINTLESS
  17. true fact. a couple people made mention of getting an mspaint together for the joe maddon thing. i don't think people recognize how eventful/exciting nomar and theo were. maddon is nice, but it's just a manager and nothing happened in the process. the maddon mspaint would just be two white men shaking hands near an rv and then ricky renteria frowning. i certainly won't say we were spoiled, as a team of our stature ought to have cool stuff happen more than every seven years, but those were two pretty interesting transactions.
  18. i really can't believe i have to like keith law now
  19. he does kind of seem like a classic "recruit amazingly for two years but the team never gets good and everything falls apart" guy.
  20. i really thought this illinois team was immune to this sort of game that they used to love so much
