  1. It's an accumulation of all "points" you've earned for content, likes, blogs, etc. And no, you can't make it go away. 😁
  2. But the Rockies?
  3. Okay, you know the drill. How many games will the Cubs win in 2023 and why is everyone else wrong?
  4. Something we do in our bottom-up approach to site-building is recruit from the community itself. If any of you are interested in writing for the front page, shoot me a private message and we'll talk about it. The pay isn't much in the beginning - while we pay based on page views, in the early going almost all articles will be paid at the $10 minimum rate - but it's a fun way to integrate yourself into the Cubs writing community. No schedules, no minimums, nothing of that sort. All we ask is that you participate in our Slack channel and stay abreast of what others are doing. If you're interested, let me know.
  5. Yeah, it's interesting. It's basically everything that's happening on the site. https://northsidebaseball.com/discover/
  6. I flipped both of those databases on and opened permissions. Obviously, a lot of work needs to be done there but it's live and viewable. https://northsidebaseball.com/legacy-nsbb-1/ https://northsidebaseball.com/legacy-nsbb-2/
  7. We actually have a bunch ported into this system, I just haven’t had time to do anything with them yet. Though I haven’t looked to see what date ranges we have imported. You could very well have material I haven’t come across.
  8. Way to stick it to the man!
  9. Anyone else interested in getting their top 20 in? I hope to start work on the prospect tracker next week some time.
  10. We'll start a queue for game threads. First person to claim Opening Day gets it. Everyone after that will go in order. My understanding - and someone please correct me if I'm missing something - is that a person does the game threads until the Cubs lose. So we'll create a list in order and whoever has the thread that day, I'm PM them that morning as a reminder. Sound good? So who wants Opening Day? The current list in order: @Ding Dong Johnson @UMFan83 @squally1313 @Bertz @jersey cubs fan @soccer10k @PackLandVA @spaincubsfan @Brock Beauchamp
  11. I'm 100% on board with this, it's very similar to how game threads are managed on Twins Daily. I'll start a thread now and pin it.
  12. No offense taken. I'm only willing to take on the job because no one else wants to deal with the burden of 162.
  13. I thought you clowns might jump all over that feature. I can't get anyone on Brewer Fanatic to use it but I effectively communicate on Twins Daily using only GIFs some days.
  14. Hey, I finally got status updates working. You can toggle the setting by editing your profile.

  15. Now there's a handy gif button in the editor with searchable gifs you can add directly to a comment!
  16. For the time being, I'm just planning to pop in every morning and create a thread. Long term?
  17. There is. If you mouse over a user avatar, a card pops up and one of the options is ignore.
  18. I also lean toward rolling them into the Cubs forum but will leave the decision to all of you. Maybe we'll put it to a vote at some point, no need to really think about it much for a couple of months.
  19. No need to apologize, none of this would be necessary if I could get the damned group promotion working properly!
  20. We can definitely change that around, like I said I'm not really married to any specific time limit. But in the case of the draft, we're going to have this coming, which is also added in real time. There'll still be a thread and whatnot and in the case of events like the draft, mega-threads make a ton of sense. Following the draft is more like a game thread than a typical conversation. But I just wanted to point out that other site features like this one will be parallel to the forum content. https://twinsdaily.com/minnesota-twins-draft-picks/2022/
  21. I'm not married to that, it's just what I generally set an edit limit to. Occasionally, you'll get some smartass who goes back and derails an entire thread by drastically editing a post long after multiple people have replied.
  22. Everyone should have an edit button for 60 minutes after content has been created. Check the ... menu at top right of each post, let me know if it's there or not.
