  1. Woof, I just looked into this a bit and a lot of things make a lot more sense right now. That company appears to be shady af.
  2. Well, it's been a frustrating few days in pretty much every way possible. A win against a terrible Nationals team would be nice.
  3. I just wrote something up on this. The answer is... maybe? I mean, I hope not but I'm so pissed off and disappointed by the domain registrar that anything is possible. We're going to do all we can to pry access to the domain back into Tim's hands (and then we can transfer it to us) but I'm not holding my breath given the lack of responses and incredibly ****ty support we've received. The good news is that when/if we transition back to the NSBB domain, it'll be mostly invisible to users.
  4. Some time over the weekend, some settings changed on our domain name and the site went down. You probably know that part. But what you probably didn't know is that we've been trying - almost entirely unsuccessfully - to contact the domain registrar for a couple of months to get proper access to the domain. That hasn't happened. But we can't go without a website forever so until we properly sort out the domain issue, the entire site is now back under the domain NorthSideCubs.com! All of your logins, passwords, and content is on the new site, it's merely under the new domain. If you have problems with anything regarding the site, please contact me at brock.beauchamp@northsidebaseball.com (yes, the old email still works). We hope to have the old domain back soon but if that happens, the transition back will be invisible to you (because we'd finally control the domain and can do things properly). That's all for now. See you soon!
  5. We don't know how temporary the change is but we had to move domains for reasons beyond our control. Some time over the weekend, some settings changed on our domain name and the site went down. You probably know that part. 6. Long story short, we're being hosed by our domain registrar. Years ago, Tim bought the domain from a company, that company dished the service to another company, those companies stopped working together, and now we have no control over the old domain northsidebaseball.com. After repeated requests to gain access for the past two months, we've gotten nowhere. We're going to keep working on this - obviously - but we can't go without a site while this (awful) company keeps ghosting us or giving us the runaround. So the site is back under this new domain until we can retrieve the old domain. All your accounts, information, and passwords are the same as the old site.
  7. Anyone who wants to claim tomorrow’s game thread, do so here.
  8. Still no game thread so I'm doing it! The Marlins looks surprisingly competent this season and the Cubs are spot-starting Kilian. Could be an interesting day.
  9. I'll leave it up to you and also sent a message to @David. If there's no thread 30 minutes before game time, just go ahead and create one. I'm out of town this weekend so I'm away from the computer most of the time.
  10. My middle name is Beauregard. God, that’d be so embarrassing if true.
  11. Okay, this made me laugh. The reason I split this particular thread is because I’m going to start promoting the forum and individual threads more on social. I’m still setting up how exactly to do that but easily-digested, timely content is a necessity. And this seemed like a good test subject for that.
  12. *walks off nonchalantly, quietly whistling*
  13. Yes, click on the + sign next to quote, scroll to the next post you want to quote, do the same, then scroll down to the text field to type and both are there. There is no embedded quotes, though, because the general thinking nowadays is that a person spends more time taking out unnecessary quotes than occasionally embedding multiple quotes.
  14. If you want me to merge your accounts and get you access to your old account, just PM me.
  15. The Pirates won again today. Is it possible they’re actually good? That doesn’t seem possible.
  16. I'll take a look at the load times. The jump to post thing is super-aggravating, I'm going to see if I can some up with a better solution for that.
  17. Why so? I'm not a big video person myself but the young-uns almost demand them nowadays.
  18. LOL Wisdom is definitely going to regress. I'm less concerned about that happening than I am others picking up the slack. Seeing some life out of Mancini is a good thing to see for that reason.
  19. Sure, it's possible, but going into the season both Minnesota and Cleveland looked better than the White Sox. A month into the season, that's definitely the case. It's incredibly unlikely the Sox - especially with that farm system - find a way to flip the script and pass two teams that are better, have more depth, and have already staked a significant lead.
  20. We're going to rotate the game threads back to the start of the list, which means @Ding Dong Johnson is due up today.
  21. I’m have to start nudging my expectations for this team upward. They’re just playing too well, I don’t see them finishing under .500.
  22. I’m pretty amazed Smyly got out of that allowing only two runs.
  23. Nobody actually expected the rotation to look this good, did they?
