  1. This game is shaping up to be par for the course for both teams.
  2. His arm isn’t actually that bad, wondering why it looks that way tonight. His arm also isn’t good.
  3. You don’t have to do that. You can go to audio options in the ATV app and sync to local radio broadcast. edit: or is this what you meant?
  4. Give it a couple of weeks and then get back to me. I might have some avenues to check to get the site whitelisted but with the recent domain turmoil, don’t want to try right now.
  5. Nah, I don't really have anything against the Cubs. I spent many of my formative years in the baseball dead zone known only in hushed whispers as "Utah" and the Cubs were one of the only teams I could watch consistently. Plus, my dad lived in Chicago for a long time and is a Cubs fan (though not much of a baseball fan overall). But if I get my grubby little hands on a Cardinals site, now we're cooking with gas for a fifth column maneuver.
  6. Yeah, on desktop but I stopped recommending that because so many people use mobile, which holds onto local cache like a dog and its bone.
  7. Same. I guess my pure and utter desperation struck at chord at some point.
  8. Yeah, I wasn't exaggerating about their struggles vs LHP. Which is really inexcusable in a lineup that features Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa.
  9. Yeah, I'm not sure. Traffic was about 60% of its usual number while under the NSC domain. This entire situation was horribly unfortunate and surely did some damage to traffic. How much? Dunno, it'll take a few weeks to really sort out the data. But it sure didn't make my job easier.
  10. The Twins are borderline helpless against lefties so the Cubs have that going for them tonight. The series should be interesting but I think the Cubs have the advantage tonight, despite Gray being borderline unhittable this season. The Twins have a habit of making mediocre lefties look like Koufax so a quality lefty like Smyly might keep them scoreless for a long time.
  11. In 2021, the Brewers rode a healthy six-man staff to success, largely because they were concerned about starter workloads over 162 games. The Cubs could employ a similar strategy here. Adding a sixth man will reduce every starter's workload by 3-4 starts through the end of the season, assuming health remains good.
  12. I'd be really disappointed to see Wesneski demoted. He has done enough to earn more opportunities and is a core building block of this team moving forward.
  13. Okay, this is fixed, might take a little time for your local cache to expire and refresh.
  14. Oh, just scroll down to the bottom. There is an unsubscribe link down there.
  15. @Bertz is up again for the opener vs the Twins!
  16. It's something we're aiming to have, for sure. I doubt it will happen this season but as we grow and expand our writer base, it's one of the first additions we hope to make for 2024.
  17. A funny fact I saw on Tuesday: Juan Soto just passed Yadier Molina on the career walks leaderboard. Soto is still only 24 years old.
  18. Go home, MLB Twitter account, you're drunk.

      • Haha
  19. I'm no Ross fan but as a person who runs multiple baseball communities, pretty much every fanbase complains about this happening, which means most (if not all) teams tend to do it.
  20. That's my take. And really, everybody in this division looks really bad right now. I don't see the Cubs falling out of the NLC race unless things go really sideways, which likely won't happen if the pitching staff stays even a little bit healthy.
  21. Thanks for the heads-up, I'll add it to the bug list.
  22. As of midnight last night, we once again control the northsidebaseball.com domain! It might be a day or two until we migrate back but it's a done deal now. We have complete control of the domain. *enormous sigh of relief*
  23. And this isn't binary. One can take a long view of a season by letting a reliever throw a mere five innings. At some point, pushing a reliever into yet another inning - particularly in a tie game at home - becomes pretty foolish. If Ross pulls Assad after three innings, maybe that's a mistake and too early considering the state of the bullpen. But putting a reliever out there for a sixth inning, that's just asking for trouble.
