Thanks. I was wonder why we suddenly love Romo. I was probably a little stupid about putting him ahead of Cutler. But yeah, he's about where he should be, but Flacco is not better than he is. Romo 10, Stafford 9, Cutler 8 (or 7 ahead of Rivers if you ask me). Cutler ahead of Rivers? So it's OK to be skeptical of Stafford's insanely good 2011 season because he only did it once, but Rivers has one year that isn't awesome and now he's ranked below Cutler? I love Jay and I'm really excited about our offense this year but you guys are being ridiculous homers. That or you're not paying close enough attention to the rest of the league, because there is no case you can make with any sort of objective evidence that would paint Cutler as a better quarterback than Romo or Rivers. Even Stafford made a pretty strong case last year, although I would suspect Cutler would do pretty damn well throwing to that guy (who sulley somehow thinks Brandon Marshall is better than), too. i'm a ridiculous homer, but' i'd take cutler over either of those guys. in fact, there's one quarterback i'd take over cutler in the entire league. i see him play every game, i don't see the other guys, but i see enough of other quarterbacks to know he's better than they are, and he's equipped with the ability to do things that maybe one other qb in the league can do. you don't have to believe me, i don't have a very strong statistical case, but i see him dodging zombies and firing lasers every sunday and imo, rodgers is the only qb that can do the same thing. roethlisberger and romo are up there, too.

I don't put a lot of stock in SB wins, unless the QB does something like Eli and leads 2 comebacks late, with signature throws in both games. (Hence, Big Ben is NOT in the top tier). Plus, he did throw for nearly 5000 yards, while having the league's 2nd worst run game and an iffy OL. ben led one of the clutchest drives and made one of the clutchest throws in SB history, i'm surprised it doesn't get more love. but yeah, he's still second tier for me, too.

Geez. What's with the lack of love for the HR Derby? It does them no good in their quest to become major league players, and there is a perception that this type of event can hurt your performance in the following weeks. i don't understand how this is much different than trying to hit home runs in batting practice.

I'd like to see them jump into the Howard sweepstakes. If the Nets get Deron Williams, they won't have room for Dwight unless they gut their entire roster which leaves them with D League fodder on the bench. This is obviously contingent on ORL accepting the deal. The Nets are apprehensive about doing that, so that would leave Dwight in the cold with no teams on his "list." The Bulls can jump into the fold and offer an attractive package while perhaps recruiting Derrick to help make a pitch for them. I think this is very doable, but from what I gather management and Derrick are unwilling to employ the necessary strategy to get him. They seem to think like they can win as is. but you seem mad as to what they did or didn't do last offseason, as well. what move did they fail to make there?

They weren't a clear favorite, so sitting here and blaming everything due to Rose being hurt is silly. Even if he wasn't hurt you're assuming he'll come in after said injuries and play at MVP caliber. As we saw, the Heat were a better team their second time around and the jury was out on the Bulls being better then the previous year. lol, yeah, they were missing an all-star caliber backup point guard. Having an All Star point guard did dick for them 2 years ago in the ECF because he was their only offensive option. and the heat didn't win in 2011, either. why would their front office be so stupid as to think they could win without any major changes in 2012?

they won a ton of games this year and lost their best player in the first round to a terrible knee injury. you think the heat make it out of the first round if lebron goes down? The year before that they got beat by a better team in the ECF. insinuating that they aren't winning makes me question whether you live on earth or are posting from the surface of the moon.

I cannot personally see a way we could afford both Parise and Suter without having to trade someone like Kane. And maybe that is their thought process. If they land either Parise or Suter or both, Kaner could be gone. assuming they each got 9 mil per, that's 11 million in space they'd have to clear.
